Popularised throughout south-east Asia, Ys online is a new 3-D MMORPG being published by Key-to-play which sees players cast into an un-real world filled with danger, intrigue, powerful magic and dark, forbidden secrets... Or at least that’s what the publishers and those with an economic interest in the game would like to think, or more importantly, to have the gaming community think. Let me break it down for you.

Register for an account, log-in and go through all that normal stuff I’m sure you are all painfully familiar with, then be greeted

I love action games and if you’re one of my regular readers or just a fellow action fan, you can imagine just how exited I was when I heard about Battlefield Heroes, a new MMOTPS (third-person shooter) published by EA games, you know, the same guys who made Spore, the Sims, Battle Forge and all those other massive titles. However, if, like me, you have played the game and live in one of those areas unfortunate enough to be plagued by high-ping, you will understand my bitter, bitter disappointment. Nevertheless, I will remain objective about this;

Dragonica, the highly anticipated action mmorpg, published by IHA games (South-East Asian players) and G-potato (North American players) has finally entered a pre-open beta state, meaning everyone can hop in and join the game. However, that’s not all, as there will be no character wipes before either open beta or the official release, meaning gamers can actually keep the characters they create now. Doesn’t that just rock? Yeah, I thought so. Anyway, let’s have a look at the game now that it has finally entered the fin

Game and Game, the same company that once hosted Lunia Story, is again looking toward action based MMORPGs that closely resemble the old beat-em-up sprawlers like streets of rage, captain commando and the old aliens VS predator, arcade addition, with their latest game, GhostX.

Similar in appearance to Lunia, GhostX utilizes a unique style of Cell-shaded graphics which players of Japanese games such as Zone of the Enders and Digital Devil might be able to recognise straight away. But, for those of you new to this style, it might be

Turf Battles is back and better than ever, this time being published by the ever changing Aeria Games, the same people who have brought you other popular games such as Last Chaos, 12 Sky, Shaiya and Dream of Mirror. However, I’m sure many of you must be wondering, what’s the point in publishing a game that was previously shut down? Well, to answer that, we’re going to have to take another look at this games rather impressive features.

At first, this game takes the aspect of most other MMORPGs al

With a string of new MMOFPS games having been released lately, it probably comes as no surprise for us to hear that Sudden Attack, one of Korea’s most popular Online FPS games has entered the CB stage and is currently heading towards OB. However, with so many other MMOFPS games entering the market, you have to ask the question, is it really worth redistributing an older game to reach a wider audience?

Joining the myriad of MMOFPS games c

Some of you might be familiar with Turf Battles from a few years back. However, for those of you who are not, It is an MMORPG that was released a couple of years back, but is now being re-published and re-released by Aeria-Games. To be honest, I had never played this game before and was reluctant to review it, especially seeing that it has already failed once before. However, as the saying goes, just about everything

A strange mix of MMORPG, solid RPG, pet sim and turn based combat are just some of the attributes one might use to describe the recently released MMORPG Wizard 101. Developed, produced and published by Kings Isle entertainment, Wizard 101 features itself as a casual MMORPG that can be enjoyed by younger players. Teens and young adults might also enjoy this game, but for those of a more mature perspective, it’s probably suggested that yo

Disappointment struck hard this week my friends and I reeled like one struck a blow, or at least this was my reaction whilst playing the game Chaos online which is currently in CB. At its core Chaos online had a decent foundation and storyline, also several unique concepts, but is ultimately let down by the poor visuals, sound and game play which is both boring and redundant.

Players are given the choice between two races, which I suspec

Shin Megami Tensei, designed by Atlus & Cave and being published for Europe and North America by Aeria Games, is one of several high-fantasy influenced MMORPG titles with a distinct far East Asian theme being currently being developed. The latter title, however, has recently entered the closed beta stage of testing and I was among those lucky enough to gain entrance. So, let’s take a look, shall we?
