Scapegoats!

Category: Article Game: Default Posted on Aug 26, 2009 9:14 pm

Scapegoat we've used it too many times...

They will be the bane in humanity's life, the Scapegoat, we've used it too often. We'll just end up blaming everything we can, and our lives will be diminished by our increasing ignorance.

I've just read an article called "WoW makes you fat" what a ridiculous narrow sighted article. For instance, it's comparable to parents blaming games for their children being violent and rude. So the blind parents go, "Oh god my child is violent/rude/stupid, I don't think it's my fault it must be videogames!". So they have this mindset that videogames are virulent to children, and tries to avoid blaming themselves on how their kids got this "game". Well parents you need to keep a better eye on them or better yet don't buy them videogames that has the ESRB rating M for mature maybe? It’s just a small parenting tip not a biggie.

Oh also all the complaints that parents have gets picked up by some stuck up prick, who thinks he can use this to his advantage to get renown, and tries to use all those complaints to bring down game companies (Which will never happen). I mean...Wow really? Then parents happily, back that person up and their insane crusade.

Another subject that this topic can be comparable to is...well this one is laughable..Is how people blame McDonalds for making them fat, seriously? How much of a douche bag (excuse my language) do you have to be to blame something that you have control over? McDonalds does not force food down your mouth nor do they make you buy their product. Ignorance is written all over that. I guess they're just too fast to shove the food down their throat before thinking of the consequences.

So why scapegoats? Well most likely it's because we can't look at ourselves and actually see who is to blame. It seems it's just too hard to blame ourselves but hell easy enough to blame it on millions of other things entirely. So hopefully one day we can find that peaceful non-blaming place that is utopia, where scapegoats will not be sacrificed so easily.
