Yeah, I watched the NATAL video as well as the PS3's wand video. Both look like interesting tech, but it really isn't anything new, just improved.

The ball demo is the highlight of the tech, and people speculate that they'll incorporate motion control in to menu navigation for the 360. It has potential to be great for bringing more accessibility to the console, but I don't see it being much more than that. The Milo demo, or whatever it was called, is just more pre-programmed bullcrap. Peter Molyneux likes to talk about and show off stuff that isn't actually done, or 100% working.

The PS3's wand demo was cool. It was more about adding a new level of gameplay possibilities than adding accessibility, and I really like that. The level of precision in control response during the sword demo was amazing, though the 3D interaction with the blocks was a bit shaky. Overall, I'd say it has potential, especiall since it's just a simple add-on interface for the EyeToy.

Still, I think creativity and content needs to be produced for the console's already-exisiting interfaces, like the PS3's EyeToy, which sees very few games.

Well, when it comes to accessibility, the 360 takes the cake. I mean, it's the middle platform, really. It has a good deal of the PC titles, and damn near all of the multi-plats. It has a handful of exclusives as well. Xbox Live is fairly smooth, though not completely free (and don't feed me that silver account crap, because if you don't have gold you don't have Live). It's also affordable. It is essentially the poor-man's PC. Because I already have a PC, I see no reason at all for a 360. Any game, that isn't 360 exclusive (which is a great many), I can play on my PC and with a controller if I need. I can edit the game and it's settings in most cases and get a lot more replayability out of it. That's why I put the 360 as my least favorite.

Of course, my favorite console is by far the PS3 with its absolutely FANTASTIC exclusive titles AND bluray DVDs. Anyone who denies the merits of the bluray obviously hasn't had very much experience with it. The PSN is a bit behind on accessibility, but it's a completely free service and it isn't bad at all. The console breaths new life in to the console competition with its inventive and original technology, which I feel is what really sets consoles apart from the PC.

The Wii is my second favorite, even though it sits and gathers dust most of the time. From Raving Rabbids to Dokapon Kingdom, there's a lot of multiplayer fun to be had without having to connect over the internet. It makes for a great social experience across all age groups. That's what makes the console such a fun addition. Besides, it utilizes motion capture which is just a great deal more accessible than a standard controller (ala the PS3 or 360). It's relatively cheap and is fairly straight forward and far from being anything like a standard gaming PC.

yeah that's true, wii games are really fun tho in some games it's impossible to play online unless you have your friends' FCs and most of its titles are for the younger audience.

on the other part have you seen the Project Natal? it could be one nice add-on, all will depend on how MS develops it so it'll be Wii's "nemesis".

and btw blu-ray it's everything *-* I wonder what will come next.
