Okay so to bascialy get to the point of this blog and my question. Why do most mmo games (mostly found here on MMOSite) take place in a Historic China , or an unnamed version of it? I mean seriously..Why? I was going down the list of games to play because I was a bit bored, and noticed most of the games all take place in china or a historic period during some old Dynasty, or a made up Dynasty. Regardless, it's all taking place in China. Why? Also, a lot of these games are created by a lot of Korean companies. YET still take place in China. I don't have a problem with China or anything, however when it comes to gaming, I'm a bit tired of seeing it. Couldn't they have more games take place in Korea? Or why cant' more games take place in Japan, or Europe, or even the US? Now it's not to say that there are NO games like the one's I just mentioned above, I was just curious as to why they mostly take place in China, of all places. Why can these companies see that their rival studios (dev companies) are doing EXACTLY the same thing.

This is basicly what I wrote as a reply to another forum topic as far as girls and gaming goes. Thats basicly why its started as it is. However everyone can easily feel free to write they're opinion(s). As I am quite curious as to what others think. I'm basicly expanding a bit on the topic that was orginally posted so I'd want more replies if possible as it is quite open to much discussion: Well as a female gamer I can say that a lot of the male gaming population do help me out a lot of the time. Weather they feel the need to give me gold (money), items, partying, guild invites and etc. I don't knock it, I rather enjoy it a bit. However it's not like I go around seeking such attentions from the male population. If it happens then it happens. |

| Whats the deal with people who complain about complainers? I mean really. Aren't you complaining as well when you do that? Your like...adding to the problem. And then I feel bad for the original complainers because what does everyone do once they complain? They say something like "cry more emo kid"... Wth? You go around calling them emo kids? Seriously...what? What does someone have to do with anything? And why cal them emo enyway? Simply because they're complaining makes them emo? Why even bring that into the conversation at all?? Not only that, but why's someone being emo always labled as such a bad thing? Some people choose it. Thats what they want, thats what they like, don't hate. I hate haters lol....too much darn hateraid out there....put the bottle down! I'm sure I'll be able to add more at some point. I'll end this now and keeping it somewhat short because I've a headache. |

| Okay well I just watched a pvp vid for ROM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4Wt5...eature=related And let me tell you, looks pretty boring. I'm not knocking the game at all. However the player vs player looks a bit dry. I mean really you could just stand there in front of each other and just hit spell/skill buttons until someone dies. Melee fighters especially. As opposed to other games that I play where you have to move around, avoid getting hit, jump behind them to do more dmg, stun lock, etc. I mean I could be wrong. It could be just the players in this video aren't that great. Could be anything. What about the rest of you guys? What do you think? |

| Well missed my chance. Apparently a contest started up today (Sep 5th) here on MMOSite It's around 4am I log on, look around. I notice the little contest so I get excited. Mind you, I've been excited about this game for a while. Unfortunately for me, I operate on semi-normal person hours and totally miss out. 4 AM! Meaning it's 4 hours into Sep 5th here where I am. And the contest is already over, I miss my chance. A bit absurd in my opinion. I mean 4 hours into the very day of the contest and bam, already over. It's not even up on the MMOSite page anymore it went "that" quick. The rest of the world however (those who were still sleeping at 4am) won't feel bad though. I mean they'd not know about it anyway. Unfortunatly for me, I do know about it. However I'm not upset persay. Just abit annoyed. I mean there will be another chance I'm sure. Just kinda blah for those who aren't Zombies and don't have a "real" reason to be awake and browsing the net at 4am... |
