Of your list, 4 2 and 1 are my favourites. No. 4 : Really nice if the game has physics. I don't want any of this pre-scripted dying animation bullshit, I want ragdoll lol. No. 2 : That pic should be re-captioned "You know know you waaaant it." lol. Sadly, in Mabinogi I find that practically everything is absurdly overpriced compared to how much you can earn from quests and jobs. No. 1 : I strive to do something, anything that will get my name known at least once, be it guild making or breaking a seal stone. Also however, I like good graphics and realism. Realism is my No.1, simply because it's your "other" life, who wants to do nothing but grind level and grind some more? Boooring. Better to be able to have a home, do work, stuff like that. One downside to Mab's realisme is how quickly you become obese, get fat legs, etc... it's really kinda sad. I try to keep my char in shape, and yet hiw eight increases at the mere smell of meat and his legs get absurdly wide from a city-to-city walk. Wtf? Anyway, nice article.

The things I look for in a game...

1. Uber graphics; art in motion

2. Physics engine; killer realism

3. No fixed path of gameplay; no levels, no classes, no quests, no direction, all skill and personal choices

3. Logic; items are created and do no 'drop' from 'monsters', items are subject to wear and tear

4. Realistic environment; the world map is spherical, simulated ecosystems and non-player events

5. First-person perspective; where are your eyes?

6. No bullshit; no cash shop, no lag, no bugs, no glitches, no hackers, no farmers, no botters, no GMs, no minimap, no guild chat, no party chat, no shout chat, no teleporting. No tolarence for anything that defies the laws of science and logic.

I do however switch from one MMO to the next because I'm searching for these specific things.

Appealing Characters:  Not many MMO's have in depth character customizations.  I'm an anime fan looking for smooth and casual model designs.  If not in depth customization than at least more equipment options as in Armor Color or Differences to make your player more unique.

Gameplay?: Yeah well... all MMO's have the same gameplay just about.  Most time I'm looking for a unique twist to that classic system.  Don't get me wrong, I like the style, but I don't like having my movement limited to one spot as I hack until the enemy dies.  Jumping and running while attacking would be nice =).

Enviroment: I like exploring, MMO's are mostly of traveling long distances and such.  I for one like to sight see on my way if the enviroment is very pleasing to the eyes.  Most games have large traveling distance.. but the sight is nothing enjoyable to venture.

Those are my main attractions in a game.  I do however agree with your top 3.  I'd like to be wealthy enough to get the best  equipment.  I'm not too big on Fame but, I'd like to help out a lot if I reach max level.  That way I'd be known or my assitant.

Most play for fun, hardcore players for glory (fame).
Equipments, wealth and violence (fight) surely are an important reason for playing.
Probably that's the essence of most MMORPG's sadly.

Who wants porn goes in other places, imho.
Cyberlove? Everything's possible but it's hard for me to think starting a game for that, and you could search for it in other places, too.
