I thought the whole hubbub surrounding Japanese rape games (especially Rapelay) would be gone, I was wrong. It was mentioned again by Times of India, which said, Sex games with graphic visuals, including those which test the player’s ‘raping skills’, are making their way to India, mostly from Japan.

Repelay Chikan mode

Rapelay, a 3D game created by a Japanese firm, Illusion, with a storyline prodding the player to rape a woman and her two teen-aged daughters in a moving train, a park and a restroom, is among the hot picks’ in the grey market.

A source involved in direct marketing of foreign goods with suppliers in Chennai’s Parrys and Burma Bazaar markets told Times Of India that he sold 20 copies of Rapelay last week to customers who had placed orders in advance and that 50 more copies are expected in a fortnight.

These are mostly pirated copies made from an original smuggled in from Japan or ordered through online shopping websites earlier. Several websites like Amazon.com had removed Rapelay from its virtual shelves after protests in July.

Gamers say several such hentai (Japanese porn) games are also available on the net and can be

Maybe not...anyway, watch this trailer. This game is called "President Is My Childhood Friend", I had a post  of the introduction before. It will be shipped on Oct.30 this year...

My brain has been totally blown after this, crashed space ship, aliens, Czar in Russia, and A Talking Panda...well just like someone said, Japan's ero game industry is really going down-hill nowadays, how does this kind of idea come from?

Another entry from SankakuComplex talking about dating/loving/marrying with 2D characters

When I finished FSN, I did want to date Saber too

The latest finding about Japan’s increasingly unmanly men is that some 40% think enjoying in-game love is worthwhile, whilst 20% admit to actually wanting a relationship with characters in a game. The survey, covering 500 Japanese men in their twenties, covered a variety of questions relating to lifestyle.

When asked "Do you think of yourself as a 'herbivorous' man?", referring to a passive man who will not pursue women, a staggering 63.8% replied "yes." Then, when asked "Do you think enjoying a romance with a game character is on?", 42.2% responded that they did indeed think it was "ari." A fifth of the men went so far as to admit that on at least one occasion they had hankered after romance with a game character. Via Sankakucomplex and J-Cast

The debate over graphic Japanese sex games such as the disgusting and controversial RapeLay continues with word that the United Nations is stepping in.

At a meeting earlier this month, the U.N.'s Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women called for a ban on explicit video games and anime. As reported by Anime News Network, the committee urged Japan to ban "the sale of video games or cartoons involving rape and sexual violence against women which normalize and promote sexual violence against women and girls."

The committee also expressed concern "at the normalization of sexual violence in the State party as reflected by the prevalence of pornographic video games and cartoons featuring rape, gang rape, stalking and the sexual molestation of woman and girls."

Within months we have heard a lot of news about Real Gundam. Here we've got a Gundam wedding ceremony. Let's check it out.

Heres comes the bride. And the giant mecha.

Earlier this week, Japanese wedding planner T&G planned wedding ceremony for one lucky couple, selected from 548 entries last month.

The two were married previously and stated that the Gundam series had been a tremendous influence in their lives. They even named they're new baby girl after Gundam character Seira. The groom is even dressed as Ray Amuro!

The Director of the Gundam also put in an appearance to give the happy couple a special gift.

A 18-meter-tall (59-foot-tall) RX-78 was erected to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the mecha anime/manga/toy/video game franchise.

It is part of the "Mobile Suit Gundam 30th Anniversary Project," and the temporary structure in Odaiba's Shiokaze Park was built from fiberglass-reinforced plastic over a steel frame and coated in a layer of awesomeness

Fifty points on the Gundam statue emit light, and mist shoot out of 14 different points on the statue. The 1/1 scale Gundam boasts a movable head and a continuous stream of oh-man-this-is-so-damn-cool. [kotaku

If a man falls in love with a 2D character, it should be like customizing a pillow of her, and taking the pillow wherever he heads to. So what if dating a 3D virtual character? Here comes today's story I read...recently a Japanese guy, I mean an otaku released a video about himself dating with his virtual girlfriend, which is, absolutely awesome.

This guy created this 3D girl, then used some kind of technology to put the virtual character into the real life backgrounds, from the video you can see that they did have interactions. Some video snapshots as following:

Sorry I don't know how to share videos from nicovideo.jp, and my Japanese sucks, so you may want to check the website to read the news and video yourself. [ Via Nekomeshi ]

There are some pretty new screenshots of Final Fantasy XIII, and sure, they look quite gorgeous at the first sight, but sharp-eyed observers will not ignore the fact that Final Fantasy XIII's graphics seem to have suffered a substantial degradation. Here are some evidences:

Originals are above, recent screenshots below:

The obvious degradation here:

More screenshots, try to find all the differences

Pay attention to jewellerys she wears in the two pictures, and of course, her lips.

Now how do you feel? Well we know the older shots were not for real gameplay, but even so I feel a bit disappointed. I mean, look at the last contrast, I just can't accepted the fact we have lost the hope of playing a CG-quality female character. Pictures via [Hachimaki]

Still remember the petition to marry a 2D character? A branch of Japanese otaku(s) asked for a law to allow human to marry with a 2 dimensional character. Whatever the case was going, somehow a man in Japan admitted he had already been in a loving relationship with a 10-year-old videogame character, and...he meant it.

Nisan, who refuses to mention his real name, is a 37-year-old man living a otaku style life. He once had a real girlfriend, but she dumped him. Nisan's new "girlfriend" is what we've seen in the picture above, a lovely 2D girl known by the name of Nemutan, in the PC game Da Capo.

According to the original report of him:
He carries Nemutan almost everywhere he goes, though he is more self-conscious about it than he may seem at first. "Some people don’t find this funny," he said, "and it also takes up a lot of room." He treats her the way any decent man would treat a girlfriend - he takes her out on the weekends to sing karaoke or take purikura, photo-booth pictures imprinted on a sheet of tiny stickers. He doesn't take her to the work place, but has a spare pillow case with her likeness at the office, just in case he needs
