Flying PvP is a bad enough concept, and NCSoft fails to dissapoint, with their terrible implementation of it!

Not only is the games netcode so horrible that you pretty much can't keep up with someone who is moving while flying, they'll randomly warp 50 feet! If you're melee and a ranged starts flying with you on them, you might as well give up right there because you're never going to catch them.  Hell, I do more damage AUTOATTACKING PEOPLE WITH MY BOW while chasing them than I do trying to hit them with my actual abilities.

In their wisdom, NCSoft decided that snares do not belong in Aion.  They decided that all the best stuns should be not usable on air targets.  They decided that the speed boosts your class is balanced around should not work while flying. Continue Reading Here, he has a lot of reasons to explain, however, which turns to a flame war...

I shall say, it is the best article I read today. I'm sure the blogger's point in this article will hurt someone's feeling, well me included, but just like Guidor said: "I think the most important factor is people subconscoiusly hate it (World of Warcraft) because they spend so much time and effort in it, not getting laid, that they have to blame something for their hopeless addiction."

I'm sure everyones heard it all before; someone brings up WoW in another MMORPG, on some forums, whatever, and you instantly get replies from 15 raging nerds including the words noob, kid, and easymode, all too eager to tell everyone about how much they loathe WoW.

Now, why do they dislike the game so much? Is it because the game is imbalanced?  Is it because they think it's too easy and not a challenge?  Is it because there isn't enough totally sweet hardcore World PvP for their liking?

No.

It's because WoW forces you to fight fair

I'm sure everyone knows the type i'm talking about, your generic MMORPG zergling that makes up 99% of the population of every game, and consequently is 99% of the Wo

Here we go, the WOW freak-out kid back again, This time he was arguing with his grandmother, who's been sent over to watch him and his brother for the weekend. Now I really wanted to believe that these videos his brother made are real, but this one's the nail in the coffin for being fake. Try to find out by yourself.

Look, this game is called Lose/Lose, it is a video-game with real life consequences. Each alien in the game is created based on a random file on the players computer. If the player kills the alien, the file it is based on is deleted. If the players ship is destroyed, the application itself is deleted.

Sounds like a joke, but it's probably not kidding. So I guess if you really want to play it, maybe just avoid shooting aliens and react quickly before they collide your ship. Here is a demo video:

WARNING: KILLING ALIENS IN LOSE/LOSE WILL DELETE FILES ON YOUR HARDDRIVE PERMANANTLY.

Be careful, I am not responsible for any loss of you,  play it at your own risk, (Link)

Okay, we all know how this goes. Some kid shoots up his school. Everyone is shocked and blames video games, politicians say a load of stupid crap, Germany bans a couple of games and we all move along.

But after the amok run of a teen at a German school last Thursday (link), where gladly nobody got killed, the stupidity reached a new level. (It seems like no big UK news outlet picked the story up. Not interested if there are no deaths, ehh?) A school in Schramberg, Germany has stated plans to make itself "killergame free". The goal is to keep pupils from playing violent videogames, and thus lower the aggressive potential of pupils and the probability of a killing spree. At least that’s what the people in charge think.

Even if Killergames are not the trigger of a killing spree, Bernd Denning, principal of the Schramberg Second School said yesterday, they still take a major part in turning minors into homicidal maniacs. Even if there isn’t a monocausally relation between excessive playing of games, leading to acts of violence, it still provides a twisted frame of reference of solutions for their problems and hardships, that they learn – and may tr

Ever think of putting Contra and Duck Hunt together? How will that be like? Here is the video. Seems like the video maker daneboe is also looking for some new ideas to mix some game characters. Can't wait to watch more...

Another awesome...or wtf story is, someone has created a webpage where you can play old school NES games on the web. You can try them via this link. It's a Javascript NES emulator, but really impressive. Thanks to the developer Ben Firshman..

By the way, I met some issues while open it in Internet Explorer 8, but it was fine to work with Fire Fox 3.52 and Google Chrome. Have fun :D

My brain has been totally blown after this, crashed space ship, aliens, Czar in Russia, and A Talking Panda...well just like someone said, Japan's ero game industry is really going down-hill nowadays, how does this kind of idea come from?

Flexible Character Creation

The character creation on CO is extremely flexible and open-ended. You start off with a basic model, but soon, you can be adjusting the details of your avatar’s face, body mass, musculature, and as always, your breasts. Though the character creation of Champions Online still falls short of City of Heroes, it still offers much more customization than those of competing MMOs. The menu itself is simple to use and understand, and each category has pre-made choices and then a detailed customization screen. You can start with something that the professionals created and then tweak it to your preferences. The costume options are versatile, colorful, and color coordinated for those of us who are not entirely sure which hues are complimentary. My one major complaint is that you start off with an Incredibles-like mask over your eyes, and you have to skip ahead three screens in order to remove it. Masks for superheroes is so 1980s. Hasn’t Cryptic watched any of the new X-men movies?

Vivid Colors

Anyone who has played Age of Conan is extremely familiar with the tendency to go with browns and dark, dreary colors in some of the male do

South Korea's cartoon is not as popular as Japan's, so maybe you have no idea what Robot Taekwon V is. I haven't heard of it up until now, well since there is a theme park project based on Robot Taekwon V in Korea, I think  it's gonna become much more famous than Japan's Real Gundam...Because, man, Robot Taekwon V will be amazingly 364 feet huge, which will be six time as large as the giant gundam statue.

I know my drawing sucks...but that's the comparison

Seems they don't plan to release an English official site to update the news, I can't read Korean, so maybe you want to check their website here to know more details if you know Korean. Some pictures via Technabob

Something interesting was also mentioned in Technabob, they believe in other news, China just announced that the Great Wall of China is actually a robotic snake statue based on an epic tale that was all the rage back in 230 BC. A tale about a giant robotic snake. Well...I live in China, but I have no idea about this joke, maybe they were trying to make fun of the serious pirate situation in my country. Well, go ahead, I don't mind, I know it is

Slayers Anime Logo

Eight Singapore fans of Japanese game Slayers entered into a suicide pact so that they could become "Slayers" themselves and kill demons in World War III. The "pact" lasted two suicides, before the rest of the kids realized they were being f*cking stupid and backed out of the plan once they saw two friends leap to their deaths from a tall building.

The pact was started by a 16-year-old, self-proclaimed Taoist medium called Ku Witaya, who convinced his brother and six other kids to join him in his quest to become a "Slayer." He had led them to believe the world was coming to an end and that they had to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. The power he had over them was seemingly broken when he and his friend Sia Chan Hong were the first to make this "sacrifice," jumping from a ninth floor window. Hong survived the fall, but died in hospital three hours later.

Slayers is quite an old set of games, based on a series of light novels that revolve around a demon called the Lord of Nightmares that will be reborn if the world is destroyed. Singapore is not exactly known for its liberal and understanding approa
