Watch this Youtube video clip, the dog steps on the skateboarding peripheral and just do it quite well, smart, isn't he? Well I don't buy any Xbox360 peripherals so far, so I'm not sure if the dog was actually playing on it, someone says it's staged. What do you think? Youtube Link

Ever wondered how Left 4 Dead would work out if it was created back in the 80’s for Nintendo? Thanks to Eric Ruth and his PixelForce NES de-make of Left 4 Dead, we will soon have the famous zombie fps title released as a full game free for download in early January 2010 for PC. It includes all the campaigns from the original game, 5 special infected and supports up to two players.

The best part of this project is that it’s “Valve approved”. Valve is aware of the project and finds the concept “hilarious”. Unlike most developers, they’ll have a C&D letter within your doorstep minutes after they hear you’re creating something using their IP. Source: Gossipgamers

Due to the nature in which Russians are portrayed in Modern Warfare 2, the country has banned the sale of the game and have begun to recall all copies that were already sold.

The most complained about part of the game centers around a group of terrorists shooting civilians inside a Russian airport. Infinity Ward is already working on a version of the game that completely removes this level and is hoping to re-release the game in less than a month's time. However, this new version may still not be enough to allow the game to be sold in that region given how the game centers around a war between the US and Russia.

Russian gamers are apparently very unhappy with the game's content. One Web site, GotPS3, railed against Infinity Ward for catering to an American audience and ignoring the sensitivities of other cultures. The site believes that Infinity Ward portrays the Russians as terrorists.

This isn't the first time a country has taken issue with how their homeland was portrayed in a game. Another recent example is when the Venezuelan government took issue with Mercenaries 2 or when the North Korean government took issue with Ghost Recon 2. [TGN]

This is a super impressive Dr. Mario song and accompanying animated music video, the result of a collaboration between Brentalfloss (of Mega Man, Super Mario World and Tetris song fame) and Parker Simmons. Good lookin', guys. Also, who knew that Link had Hepatitis? I mean, besides Zelda. And Talon. And *ahem* Epona. WRAP THAT OCARINA UP, SON!

We've seen mixtures of Roomba and Pac-Man before, but nothing like this. A team of developers have hacked five floor-cleaning bots to create a sort of OCD version of the game, with the Pac-Man bot sucking up little white rectangles whilst being chased by robot incarnations of Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde. But, when the Pac-Man vacuum finds a power pellet those ghostly rovers turn blue and start fleeing. The tech is supposed to be a demonstration of the developers' Unmanned Aerial System suite, designed for guidance of airborne vehicles, but we're too busy geeking out to care about potential real-world applications of this tech. Video below. [posted by Engadget]

Well, this guy looked so addicted to the DS in his hand, I wonder what game makes him on his knees. If I was him, I know I would never do that. But who can blame him?

Image description: He was just killing time while his supermodel girlfriend was shopping. I’m just kidding, his mom kicked him out of the basement to go make real friends because all he did was play World of Warcraft all day. [Peopleofwalmart]

I thought the whole hubbub surrounding Japanese rape games (especially Rapelay) would be gone, I was wrong. It was mentioned again by Times of India, which said, Sex games with graphic visuals, including those which test the player’s ‘raping skills’, are making their way to India, mostly from Japan.

Repelay Chikan mode

Rapelay, a 3D game created by a Japanese firm, Illusion, with a storyline prodding the player to rape a woman and her two teen-aged daughters in a moving train, a park and a restroom, is among the hot picks’ in the grey market.

A source involved in direct marketing of foreign goods with suppliers in Chennai’s Parrys and Burma Bazaar markets told Times Of India that he sold 20 copies of Rapelay last week to customers who had placed orders in advance and that 50 more copies are expected in a fortnight.

These are mostly pirated copies made from an original smuggled in from Japan or ordered through online shopping websites earlier. Several websites like Amazon.com had removed Rapelay from its virtual shelves after protests in July.

Gamers say several such hentai (Japanese porn) games are also available on the net and can be

(This article is originally from Asylum)Even guys who don't suffer from video game addiction are sometimes unable to resist the thrill of killing a few more shambling zombies, saving the princess or winning World War II.

But for those gamers out there who simply cannot put the controller down, video game addiction is a much more serious affliction, as was reinforced by Michael Fahey of Kotaku recently coming forward with the story of an "EverQuest" addiction that cost him his car, job and girlfriend.

The outpouring of similar stories in the comments section of this post reminded us that while the affliction isn't officially recognized by psychiatrists yet, to those who have suffered from it, it is very real. Keep reading to explore some of the more extreme cases of video game addiction.

Failed Intervention?

This clip from the TV show "Intervention" focuses on a young man who plays both "Halo" and "Dance Dance Revolution" with equal intensity. Swearing when you're tea-bagged by a high-pitched 12-year-old from the U.K. we can understand, but it doesn't take a psychiatrist to know something is wrong when a guy screams and flips off a carto
