Man falls in love with 10-year-old videogame character
Still remember the petition to marry a 2D character? A branch of Japanese otaku(s) asked for a law to allow human to marry with a 2 dimensional character. Whatever the case was going, somehow a man in Japan admitted he had already been in a loving relationship with a 10-year-old videogame character, and...he meant it.
Nisan, who refuses to mention his real name, is a 37-year-old man living a otaku style life. He once had a real girlfriend, but she dumped him. Nisan's new "girlfriend" is what we've seen in the picture above, a lovely 2D girl known by the name of Nemutan, in the PC game Da Capo.
According to the original report of him:
He carries Nemutan almost everywhere he goes, though he is more self-conscious about it than he may seem at first. "Some people don’t find this funny," he said, "and it also takes up a lot of room." He treats her the way any decent man would treat a girlfriend - he takes her out on the weekends to sing karaoke or take purikura, photo-booth pictures imprinted on a sheet of tiny stickers. He doesn't take her to the work place, but has a spare pillow case with her likeness at the office, just in case he needs to work late. Apparently, "She’s great for falling asleep with on an office chair."
"Of course she is my girlfriend,"he says, when questioned. "I have real feelings for her."
"When I die, I want to be buried with her in my arms," he added.
I think, he, Nisan is a brave man, as an otaku, he shows the courage of explaining the different love stories with a virtual girl. That's definitely romantic. So what do you think?

well I like anime and manga and I said some of the caracter are well done but I won't go as far as marrying a 2d girl having sex with or whatever I prefer at most having a Japanese girl friend they are cute and closer to those anime girl

In 2007 there was a movie called "Lars and the Real Girl" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1XxILVnt1w). It's about the man Lars and his girlfriend Bianca who is actually a silicon puppet. Like our japanese Friend here, Lars treats that puppet like a real woman and takes her everywhere with him, while some people in the town think he's crazy. Quite interesting movie.
I also remember reading once an article in a swiss magazine about some guys from the USA who live with their silicon puppets. There where also a few photos of them and they showed how those guys had daily situations with their puppets (such as drinking coffee at the local cafe or sitting on a bench in the garden, arm in arm).
I don't think such people are crazy, I guess they're maybe just lonely.

Hey, I get it to a degree. I'm still in love with Rune from Phantasy Star 4 and Link. Who doesn't love Link? Bridget from Guily Gear made an entire generation of male gamers rethink their sexual orientation, but this guy is a bit much. Doesn't he know that characters are a colaberation of several Artists and Dialog is reharshed and redone by dozens of people? Even in a thing like a manga, there can be an artist and a different writer if they aren't the same person. They write not only the dialog for one character, but for entire stories with multiple people. It's one thing to idolize someone's art or writing, but to single out a character and state them as any form of 'alive' other than 'well-written' is completely bogus.
I've got nothing to say about his love for 2D, but there's no need to exaggerate with the character being THAT young.
The exact age I'm not sure, but definitely in high school (16-18 years old, therefore this doesn't fall under the "loli" category), as I don't follow Da Capo.
