Coincidentally, Infinity Ward's outspoken community manager Robert Bowling released a cryptic update on his Twitter feed the same day hinting at the possibility of bringing the popular game franchise to film, stating:
First round of meetings in Paris wrapped. Grabbing lunch with Xavier Gens, director of the Hitman film while in town. Talking game films.
If approved, the trademark reserves for Activision all applications of the Call of Duty moniker as they relate to "pre-recorded movies featuring comedy, drama, action, adventure, music, theatrical performances and/or animation." Given the anonymous report published in The Hollywood Reporter last May and the incredible sales of the Call of Duty franchise (Activision claims Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare sold more than 13 million units) a summer blockbuster seems like a sure thing. I bet most of you have watched Black Hawk Down, it was the best movie I've ever watched because the warfare looks so real, maybe we should give faith to Call of duty movie, I feel that it can give us another exciting experience of warfare too. conclusion: Can't Wait!
