I read this somewhere and had to share this with you all! Please note this was not written by me, I am just sharing this because I thought it was interesting!

I would like to present a new method for getting lucid in dreams which (according to preliminary tests) appears to be quite powerful and (which is one of its strongest points) fun.

Short history

One guy (lets call him Albert) who works at some Russian univercity had a coversation with a student who was worried that his dreams becamevery strange lately: very vivid and in half of cases he knew he was dreaming. Apparently, the student was unaware about phenomenon of Lucid Dreaming but Albert did. He investigated this issue, and it was found that the student is hardcore gamer, and his strange dreams started after a day when he was trying to complete hard level of Doom 3 with Russian sounds. At some point woman's voice was saying: "Life is just a dream". As the level was hard he had to listen to it multiple times. Combining with intense gameplay, it seems that this suggestions struck his subconscious mind.

So Albert and other fellow dreamers made some research, did some experiments, shaped the me

All I remember is me being in this odd little world. Everything was destroyed, ruined, demolished. I remember slightly there being people ("Players"). Then there was a building, looked like a castle, somewhat. Next I had to get in it without getting hurt or something along those lines. After that was all said and done, I was in, obviously. In the castle now, and some kind of monsters came after me, I remember me in a suit of armor, and have a huge sword. I killed them almost instantly. Close to the end of the dream, and there was a "Boss", and I killed him. All of a sudden these people ("Players") started to say "Great job, asshole", I said "Oops, I am sorry." At the end of the dream now, and I see lava, and the ground I was standing on was falling before me. That's it, I woke up.

Now I noticed just now, it is like Diablo, cause if you kill a boss and you have done the quest, the other players wouldn't get the quest. Hence them calling me an asshole. And more things that related to Diablo there. Funny thing is I haven't played Diablo in three days, nor thought of about it. Before I went to sleep I was thinking about what an assho

So it's not that hard to figure out your in a dream. In a dream try to do something you wouldn't normally do. Like flying, as in not on a airplane, or anything like that. Here are more examples.

  • Hold your nose closed or go underwater, if you can still breathe then you are dreaming.
  • Try to jump, if anything strange happens you are dreaming.
  • Read stuff, if small print changes as you look away or are looking you are probably dreaming.
  • If your vision is perfect but you don't have perfect vision, you are probably dreaming.
  • Examine your hands; they can usually be pretty obvious. Sometimes changing color and size or growing an extra finger.
  • The time, always check the time. Clocks will change at random times, have improper numbers, or simply change as you look at them.
  • Try to visualize using powers, in a dream they will often manifest themselves fairly quickly.
  • Try a light switch here and there; they usually don't work in dreams. This isn't an absolute however, and they do occasionally work.
  • Check your reflection; usually your dream will have trouble keeping that constant.
  • If you close one eye, can you see your nose? If not you're probably dreaming.
  • Try to remember things like; why yo

Some of you are saying "WTF IS A LUCID DREAM?!1!111"

Here is something I found on some site for some of you to read.

"There is nothing inherently difficult to understand about the concept of lucid dreaming: as stated in the introduction, lucid dreaming is simply dreaming while being aware you are dreaming. You can think of lucid dreaming as being conscious while dreaming. If, by chance, during a dream it suddenly dawns on you that you are dreaming, then you have experienced a lucid dream, regardless of whether you have been able to attain control of your dream. Lucid dreaming is usually induced by some sort of cue—something that indicates to the person that what he or she is experiencing is a dream, and not reality. Cues, however, are not necessary for becoming lucid: sometimes people spontaneously become lucid without noticing anything strange or typical of dreams. Lucid dreaming is a very simple concept but for most it will take patience and determination to achieve.

Many people seem ignorant of the distinction between having a lucid dream, and controlling a dream. Being able to freely control one’s dream does not directly follow becoming lucid: one can have a lucid d
