lol i have one of those moms who calls ur name every 5 minutes(not exaggerating). but she gets mad at u for being lazy when shes just as lazy.

common phrases I hear everyday  "can you hand me the remote?"   "get the phone"  "go out to the car and get my cell"  "find my purse" "help your sister"  "youre lazy"

the thing i hate most is when find a great party in some mmo in a room with some high lvled boss and then halfway thru the battle "morgan c"mere" stall for as long as i can then she calls me name again and then cuss words get added into it then i go to see wat she wants "srry nvm" go bak to the computer to finish battle. oops. everybody died. and they hate my guts nao.

Yep. Sounds just like my mom. I guess it's just something that we must go through in life...feeling the wrath of a tiny dark-haired lady...unless your mom breaks that stereotypical rule of Asians and is actually tall XD Of course, asking an Asian parent to help you with homework or anything really is likely to fail. I guess...if you really had the patience to do so, learn about her childhood. Certainly explained some things to me O.o

i think i'm late for looking at this but my mom changes moods a lot of times. like, first she's sweet then the next thing you know is she broke her jade bracelet trying to whack u on the head when u told her u failed a test. my dad's fine but i always expect disasters over the summer.

Sometimes parents think their r right all the time, but their not . 4 me they wont really listen 2 what i say because im not considerd 2 be at their lvl since, 1 im not married nor do i have a profesional job. (im 16) but dont worry their will be a time where both of u agree with each other thats what a friend of mine said 2 me. he said it took about 20 years but it finally worked out instead of getting mad he tries 2 sort it out.

i guess its about the generation thing. it depends what time period/environment  they were raised. like my parents grown up from the 60's that was when the world didnt have computers nor video games yet. (it sucks being taught by babyboomers but its tight being a melenial.)

Asian parents have traditional way to educate their child, which means it is only them who can judge their child, the child must take orders of whatever parents tell them to obey, they think they can point the right direction to the child so that he could make less mistakes in his life.

It is some kind of over-protective, I dont think parents are wrong at all. It's also Generation Gap, parents and children need to understand each other.

Most of asian parents are like this and they are the worst @ showing love.

But...we can almost make fun of it! =P

you know what? your mom is totally normal, and you have the same thoughts that everybody have or used to have. Fortunally (or unfortunally??) you aren't the only one who has to stand his own crazy parents...

I live in Italy, in a small apartament with my mother, she is too much depressed, she's depressed since I was a baby. But I can't complain now that I'm 20 years old and I was abandoned by my father who's escaped in Brazil leaving me without money.

Somedays I hate her couse she can makes me feel a shit with a couple of words. But she always tryies to do her best, I know she does. When she puts me in bad moon, i know it's time to do something more, to be better. I'm due to her, I'm growing up thanks to her.

Maybe now you can't stand her, but someday you'll look at her and you'll see a small woman, older than you expected, and you'll understand a lot of her feelings.

I always try to remember that when a person yells at you, it's only becouse there is a dinstance between you and that person, that person is only trying to make herself heard.
