Hatred For My SisterCategory: Default Posted on Oct 18, 2009 Add to Bookmark |

WARNING:ARTICLE BELOW SLIGHTLY LONG WINDED.
I am basicly writing this to express my hatred for her.Well first off,she is 16(and Im 13 and she is the smartest student in her form/grade.She's been the best since she started school. So anyway, this turned her into a little fucking arrogant prick. She used to bully me alot when we were younger by calling me names and stuff(Well you know how small kids get all angry when they get teased) until my dad taught me how to ignore it. Anyway, she also thinks she's better than everyone. She looks down on everyone especially those labourers from other countries like Indonesia,Burma etc etc.Everytime she sees them she goes 'Ugh those stupid Indons.' And once my mom saw our tuition teacher giving out flyers to students and stuff. So she told us the story and my sis went 'That is so degrading. If that was my father I would be so ashamed.' I mean seriously what the fuck is wrong with you. They are just making a living not begging or whatever. She is also very hypocritical. For example, you cant sit on her bed but she can sit and lie on yours and even use your blankets.See where Im going? Also, she says she isnt afraid o |

Ancient Martian Lake?Category: Default Posted on Jun 18, 2009 Add to Bookmark |

According to a scientific research team at the University of Colorado-Boulder, there is finally definitive evidence of a shoreline on the Red Planet. Using images from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, which blasted off from Florida in 2005, UC scientists say they have found traces of a lake some 3.4 billion years old. Lake Shalbatana appears to have covered as much as 80 square miles, and bottomed out at more than 1,500 feet deep. If accurate, the UC study, which was published in the online edition of the journal Geophysical Research Letters, could trigger a significant shift in our understanding of the history of Mars. “On Earth, deltas and lakes are excellent collectors and preservers of signs of past life,” said Gaetano Di Achille, a researcher at UC, said in a statement. “If life ever arose on Mars, deltas may be the key to unlocking Mars’ biological past.” He called the find the “first unambiguous evidence of shorelines on the surface of Mars.” Ice on Mars? Of course, this isn’t the first report of possible life on Mars. In 2002, the US orbiter Mars Odyssey detected the presence of ice on Mars’ north pole. And almost a year |

5 Facts about Friday the 13thCategory: Default Posted on Mar 18, 2009 Add to Bookmark |

If Friday the 13th is unlucky, then 2009 is an unusually unlucky year*Dramatic Sounds*. This week's Friday the 13th is one of three to endure this year. The first came last month. The next is in November. Such a rare triple-threat occurs only once every 11 years. The origin of the link between bad luck and Friday the 13th is murky. The whole thing might date to Biblical times (the 13th guest at the Last Supper betrayed Jesus). By the Middle Ages, both Friday and 13 were considered bearers of bad fortune. In modern times, the superstition permeates society. Here are five of our favorite Friday-the-13th facts: 1. Fear of Friday the 13th - one of the most popular myths in science - is called paraskavedekatriaphobia as well as friggatriskaidekaphobia. Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13. 2. Many hospitals have no room 13, while some tall buildings skip the 13th floor and some airline terminals omit Gate 13. 3. President Franklin D. Roosevelt would not travel on the 13th day of any month and would never host 13 guests at a meal. Napoleon and President Herbert Hoover were also triskaidekaphobic, with an abnormal fear of the number 13. 4. Mark Twain once was the 13th guest at a dinner pa |

Origin and history of Valentine's DayCategory: Default Posted on Feb 14, 2009 Add to Bookmark |

First of all,I would like to wish everyone Happy Valentine's Day.This article is about the history of Valentine's Day.So here we go.
Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? The history of Valentine's Day — and its patron saint — is shrouded in mystery. But we do know that February has long been a month of romance. St. Valentine's Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. So, who was Saint Valentine and how did he become associated with this ancient rite? Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred. One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men — his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriage |

Ways to get smarterCategory: Recommended Articles Posted on Feb 02, 2009 Add to Bookmark |

Here are some few ways to get smarter.
Music may tune up your thinking, but you can't just crank up the volume and expect to become a genius A DECADE ago Frances Rauscher, a psychologist now at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, and her colleagues made waves with the discovery that listening to Mozart improved people's mathematical and spatial reasoning. Even rats ran mazes faster and more accurately after hearing Mozart than after white noise or music by the minimalist composer Philip Glass. Last year, Rauscher reported that, for rats at least, a Mozart piano sonata seems to stimulate activity in three genes involved in nerve-cell signalling in the brain. This sounds like the most harmonious way to tune up your mental faculties. But before you grab the CDs, hear this note of caution. Not everyone who has looked for the Mozart effect has found it. What's more, even its proponents tend to think that music boosts brain power simply because it makes listeners feel better - relaxed and stimulated at the same time - and that a comparable stimulus might do just as well. In fact, one study found that listening to a story gave a similar performance boost. There is, however, one |

Naruto: The Abridged Series is a mashup fandub of Naruto created by two YouTube users known as MasakoX and Vegeta3986. The two have made 22 episodes so far, covering up to the point where The Third dies. Vegeta3986 writes the series and MasakoX mixes the series. Currently, Vegeta 3986 and MasakoX use different accounts now. MasakoX is now MasakoXtreme and Vegeta3986 is now Vegeta8639. They have not however uploaded any more episodes since July of 2008, however Vegeta8639 stated on Youtube that there would be more episodes. He also stated that he and MasakoXtreme are working on the next episode and that the reason for the delay was because MasakoXtreme had computer trouble. Well it’s just a funny show about Naruto. The videos are also very short, each video is like 5-8 minutes. The voices are just dubbed by a group of funny people.
Ok i just copied that part from the link im gonna give.

Acclaim cannot handle managing a gameCategory: Default Posted on Nov 25, 2008 Add to Bookmark |

Like the title says,Acclaim cant manage a game. They do not listen to their players but instead they turn a deaf ear towards us.As a seasoned 9D player,I have seen it turn from a good game into a bad one. With every patch comes a new bug.And instead of concentrating on fixing bugs in their current games, they are instead trying to make new MMORPGs.The stats system currently used has cause an imbalance in PvP.The nukers are over-powered while the warriors get pwned by hybrid and nukers.Acclaim has promised to change the stats system but then later said that they will reconsider the decision. This has caused an uproar in the 9D community. Many of the players are angry at Acclaim for many bugs including an ad bar,the hybrid para nuke reduced to 2 secs instead of 4 that Acclaim refuses to remove or turns a deaf ear.
Ok seriously this sounds like a newspaper article lol.Oh btw, check out my screenshots |
