2D Fighting games

Category: What-to-do & What-not-to-do Game: Default Posted on Aug 22, 2009 10:46 pm

Most people are afraid of this genre of gaming because nothing is rather 3d and you can not shoot it unless you do some weird combination of buttons. Fear not I am here to help those who are new to the world of 2d games and maybe this could apply to 3d games as well.

Alright I have 5 rules on what to do and 5 on what not to do.

What not to do~

5.Keep the button mashing to a limit! No one likes to hear the smashing of your controller nor do they like to see the uglyness on the screen which you thought might work and most likely it did not work. Most likely you got your ass whooped because of this.

4. Never, I repeat never look down at your controller believing that you are not hitting the right buttons. Maybe it is because you do not know them. So Stop because it only makes you look bad and your best friend look like god in these games.

3. Do not talk trash and believe you will win when it is your first time because you saw the guy lose to someone that sucked! Maybe you just precieved the whole situtation as one sucked and you could be the other. 80% of the time you are setting yourself up for a loss.

2. Do not complain and say the game sucks just because some one else put time and practiced the moves in the game! It only shows how ignorant you really are...

1. My all time favorite not to do. Never give up just because you can not handle the brutal whooping your friends or some random guy/girl is giving you just because you never play these types of games.

What to do~

5. Remember this is a fighting game and all fighting games have some form of strategic parts to it. Weather you are an aggressive player or defensive. So remember you can you strategy in fighting games.

4. Do not be afriad to adjust your buttons to your liking for the games. Some times it is just a minor mishap that most people dislike a certain default setup for buttons. GO CHANGE THEM AND WORK HARD!

3. Practice! Practice! Practice! No one ever said, "you will become a greater fighting game player through no practice." If you want to get better you have to keep learning new things. Learn how to do those Hadouken's! and Shoryuken's!

2. The match is never decided fight every round and second as if it is your last! Many things happen through striving to win!

1. My all time favorite. Have Fun! If you can not enjoy what your playing then maybe it is just the game or you arent enjoying yourself enough.

I hope you liked my 5 rules of what to do and what not to do. Use them wisely and give some of those fighting games a chance.
