3 Most Notable Trailers In E3 So FarCategory: Game Comments Posted on Jun 20, 2009 Add to Bookmark |

(In Dexcross Perspective)
I don’t have a chance to attend E3, but hey it’s one of the biggest game event, so I search and read some of the articles about E3, download some photos and screenshot, and also… GAME TRAILERS. Several have been downloaded, but there are 3 trailers that get my attention so far.
Uncharted 2
There are times when we drop our jaw because of game cutscene. And some games, unfortunately, don’t have a good gameplay graphic compare to their cutscene. Now the time has come where cutscene IS also gameplay graphic. Uncharted 2 gameplay tra |

Longest MMORPGs That Stay In My HDDCategory: Game Comments Posted on Jun 06, 2009 Add to Bookmark |

I’ve tried many MMORPGs, and most of them end up being deleted several weeks later. Some of them even deleted after only been resided in my HDD for only 3 hours! But some games, have become “senior” resident of my HDD. Even if I upgraded my computer, I brought them along so that I can still play them later. And here’s the list of them:
Dream Of Mirror Online My personal obsession of collecting recipes, makes me still enjoy the game. Not to mention a huge damage dealer with full STR saberman. There are many more aspects to enjoy in this game. This game has been in my HDD for 3 years.
Pirate King Online This game is similar to my first addictive MMORPG, Ragnarok Online. Even the shortcut is almost the same. It’s been an alternative game since the invasion of the bot begun in RO. I start with international version, and about 1 year ago, a local server open services in my country. This game has been in my HDD for 3 years.
Granado Espada The music, the new concept of controlling more than 1 character, beautiful graphic (during it’s early opening), random opti of items, have made me spen |

Travian As A Lesson: Never Underestimate Browser Based MMOGsCategory: Game Comments Posted on Feb 07, 2009 Add to Bookmark |

I usually play RPG type of online game, including browser based MMOs. However, one of my friend finally able to persuade me to play one of strategy type browser based MMO. In my country, Travian was opening their 1st server in April 2008, and currently they are running 4 servers and 1 speed server. To my surprised, this game brought a new experience and change my perspective about strategy browser based MMO. I have tried Ikariam and Lord of Evil before, and although I will give a good score to them too, I will say that this game has many aspects that exceeding other title.
For short, Travian is a strategy game without any animations (except if you install a skin) similar like Sid Meier’s Civilization. But let me warn you players who want to try this game, if you want to play a “sim like” game, you will be dissapointed. Go play something like SimCity or Civilization or even Age of Empire if you feel like you want to apply your INDIVIDUAL strategy to other player. This game is definitely NOT an individualistic game. Crafting strategy would need a HEAVY TEAMWORK with other players. While I d |

First Impression Review
Let’s get straight to what I think the most important point of this game, before I explain it:
If you are looking for a good graphic and effects MMORPG, this game is definitely not for you. But if you are looking for features, you can CONSIDER this game to play.
When I enter the game for the first time, my first impression is that this game wasn’t made to satisfy your eyes and hungers for good graphics, or colorfull environment, or even a great effects and animation. This game just want to carry on their licensing title power where they succeed at console game. Given the current technology, I was dissapointed at how they present the game at online level. Believe me, I am not a great graphic game demanding player. For me, graphic is not everything. Yes, they will influence my opinion about the game, but it is not the main point of value. I play some brower based game, and some of them are completely text based. I also still playing 2D game online game. And I even re-play some SNES RPG. But still I am dissapointed at how they bring this game online. For me, Shin |

What’s So Great About Diablo 3?Category: Game Comments Posted on Sep 23, 2008 Add to Bookmark |

What Makes Game A Legend?
I am one of many people who are waiting for Diablo 3. I am included in the title series fans, that talking about the mysterious announcement from Blizzard about their new game that lately we know it as Diablo 3. I am talking about it like a broker talking about the chance of a stock rising or falling. I did short message some of my friends about the news. I put it as a tag of my MSN message.
So this friend of mine, asking:
“Why are you so excited about this Diablo 3? What so great about Diablo 3?”
… … … I just stare at him and wondering, “Dude, where have you been? It’s Diablo that we are talking about. It’s a LEGEND!” Seriously, even during this article is written, the number one vote from MMOSite votings, about which title should be brought online is Diablo! I understand that my friend just asking that without even thinking, because I know that he’s also a fans of Diablo. He’s just asking that, because I am so excited about this title. So we were stopping at a café and talking about some game that can be c |

To Bot Or Not To Bot: That’s The QuestionCategory: Game Comments Posted on Jul 29, 2008 Add to Bookmark |

A Glance At Magic World Online “New” Feature
One of the main feature that has been highlighted and claimed to be differentiated among other MMORPGs by Magic World Online: BOT feature. When I first heard about that, I’m asking myself, “Do they realize what they have done to ruin their own games?”. A couple years ago, I was among people who quit games because the invasion of bots in MMORPG. Here’s some reasons why I don’t like bot: 1. No one to talk with. The beauty of playing MMORPG is because I can met many people and enjoy the game together. But how can I do that if I just say hello and that character just teleport right away? Later, it become worst because there are no strict rule to overcome this problem. I say hello and the bot character would reply, “Get lost noobs, I am bot!” 2. No honor in reaching high level. One of my purposes in playing MMORPG is to reach high level. There is honor and I can be proud even though I am not reaching the level as quick as many other players, because my job won’t allow me to play as much as them. But can you imagine when I have r |

Master of Fantasy, So Far So GoodCategory: Game Comments Posted on Apr 07, 2008 Add to Bookmark |

After asking around to this site about this game and don’t find any clue about them, I decide to give a try to this game. Cuz I thought, hey it’s just a 490MB file to download. Won’t hurt much to try it anyway. Btw, MOF is a F2P item mall based subscription game.
Before I begin, some people are thinking that I hate 2D MMORPG because of my review about Ghost Online. I have to say they are wrong. I love 2D MMORPG. I am a gamer even since Atari was come out as the only console game out there. I even install some old RPG of SNES in my PDA. So contrary to what some people think when they read about my review of Ghost Online, I love playing 2D MMORPG. And so far, Master of Fantasy (MOF) has fullfil my hope that this genre can still produce a good title.
You can read about the background and some glimpse of the games in my previous article that asking around about this game. And if you think that the characters seems to be similar with Pangya, a casual golf online game, you are right. Because the character designer of both games is still the same team.
The graphic of MOF is cute and somehow I have a feeling that Maple Story 2 will have a serious contender because of this game |

GE, I Found A HEARTCategory: Game Comments Posted on Apr 07, 2008 Add to Bookmark |

I don’t really know how to categorize this article into. It’s not a review nor a depth review. I just want to write this, because when I’m playing Granado Espada, this is what I felt. There are so many good review out there that you can read. This is just about my feelings toward the game.
Granado Espada or Sword of The New World, is far from perfect. It doesn’t have stat allocation so that the character can be differentiate to each other in terms of character type, it doesn’t have a unique distinctive battle system, they don’t prevent any RMT company spamming around, some of premium items are out of balance (lucifer wings for example, which make people refuse to enter the pvp and faction wars) and I’m really having difficulties when dealing with equipment because there is no way you can assign a hotkey for equipment change. So yeah, they are far from perfect. But when I play this game, one thing that I found is that the team behind this game really put their heart to make this game different and alive!
Why would I said that?
The graphic of Granado Espada, while it wouldn’t be the best graphic of today OL game, but I can see that the team behind this game, is paying really h |

Anyone Ever Heard: Master of Fantasy?Category: Game Comments Posted on Mar 14, 2008 Add to Bookmark |

| I am interested in joining this game. But I really want to know what people think about this game before downloading the client. Here’s a brief information about the game:
This game is a 2D MMORPG developed by CDC. The game has just started their open beta in my country yesterday. I still don’t know about the background story yet. However, it is set on a magical academy where your character building his or her ability through series of mini quest. The characters are evolving by age, so their appearance will also be changed during the gameplay. 4 type of characters are currently available. Fighter, Archer, Mage, and Cleric.
As far as I know: Warriors can use daggers, 1h sword, 2h sword, 2h axe, 1h mace, dual blades, spears, shields. Archers can use daggers, bows, crossbows, guns. Mages can use daggers, books(range), staffs. Clerics can use clubs, staffs, cross. There will be Alchemy Magical skill available for every character, and with this skill we can produce our own equipment using certain recipe. I like the way they provide the character pic when you change your equipment.
When I looked at the screenshot, it’s kinda remind me of Talesweaver, a great 2D game from Ne |
