The lore of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar can be a very interesting topic indeed. The LoTRO lorebook has recently been updated with the history of an area more experienced gamers are probably familiar with: the Vale of Thrain.

Located on the Blue Mountains' path leading to Thorin's Hall, this location is filled with various creatures including elegant lynxs, giant bears and even some hendreveil. Players can find two outposts maintained by the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains: the way-station Nogrod and Gondamon.

The road running through the Vale was once heavily traveled by both merchants and traders. However, raids from goblins and the outcast dwarven clan Dourhand have rendered the highway unsafe. To make matters worse tensions have been increasing between the Blue Mountain Dwarves and the Elves of Duillond making it hard to put up a unified front to repel these marauders.

This is where your character comes in. Perhaps, you can do something to help ease the tension between the two factions as well as end the marauding dwarf and goblin raids for good.
