Star Wars: The Old Republic - Image 1

It's sneak peek time! It's been a long time coming indeed, but now, we finally get to see what we can expect in that new Star Wars MMORPG that BioWare's cooking up. They've finally released the first batch of screens for Star Wars: The Old Republic - and they're huge! Better wait for the full page to load up before clicking those pics!

We got light sabers and Force action right here. It's all impressive, to say the least. The environments you see in the screens below were taken from two different planets: Tython and Korriban. Now I wanna be a Jedi again. No wait, I wanna be a Sith! Or... a wookie? *gurrggggle*

World of Warcraft - Image 1Console ports for MMOs seems to be quite the trend lately. Rumors have been flying hard and fast about potential ports for several major MMOs.

Warhammer Online, Lord of the Rings Online and the upcomming Star Wars: The Old Republic are have all officially under the "considering it" phase already.

So what about Blizzard's World of Warcraft? Aren't they worried that if someone beats them to the punch, they'll loose out. Online connectivity is standard in the current generation of consoles and not everyone owns a PC gaming rig. There's probably a vast market of unconverted WoW players just ripe for the plucking.

"We don’t really look at it like, ‘If you’re not first, you’re behind," said Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime.

I can believe it. World of Warcraft itself is really just an amalgamation of everything tried and proven from various other MMOs and then polished to a mirror finish.

While Blizzard's focus is really just the PC and the Mac right now, Morhaime mentioned that they're certainly open to developing a game that would work well on the consoles. He added:

We’ve had cons

Dessembrae from Wrath of the Lich King - Image 1

Only a few days after the world's first level 80 (Nymh the warlock) in World of Warcraft, we have the world's first LVL 80 Death Knight.

On November 15, 7:00pm CEST, Dessembrae from the Eternal Corpse Council on the European server, Mazrigos officially became the world's first Death Knight. Not an easy feat considering that Death Knights have to start at LVL 55 while most everyone else has a LVL 70 character in their back pocket.

Over in the the good 'ol US of A, Essay from the Tichondrius became the first American Death Knight only three hours later.

Gratz guys.

Warhammer forbidden: Age of Reckoning - Image 1Patch 1.05 is looking to be the biggest Warhammer Online patch by far, with the list of features at over 17 pages long - and still going. Otherwise known as "Combat and Careers", this patch includes adjustments to every conceivable career in the game.

Mythic GM Mark Jacobs is hoping that they can post the full patch notes by tomorrow morning, although that will still depend on how fast they can do the final review of all the preliminary changes and notes themselves. But in the meantime, he shares with us but some of the exciting highlights of Patch 1.05:

  1. Public Test Server: Similar to our Pendragon sever for DAoC, this server will be both open to all players but players will be able to copy (not transfer, your original character remains on its server) their existing characters over to this server at anytime.

This server will get the latest, but not final, version of the game and feedback from this server will be used in making any further adjustments to the version. We encourage all players who want to help in the development process to give it a shot. More information on the PTS will be posted on the Herald.

  2. Rally masters have been put
