According to a psychologist, Spending time on the Facebook could enhance a key element of intelligence that is vital to success in life, while using twitter may make you stupid.

Playing video war games and solving Sudoku may have the same effect as keeping up to date with Facebook. Twitter you receive an endless stream of information, but it's also very succinct, Dr. Tracy Alloway, the leading researcher in charge of the study, said. "You don't have to process that information." Twitter, along with texting or watching YouTube, has a very detrimental effect on the working memory. "Your attention span is being reduced and you're not engaging your brain and improving nerve connections."

Actually the reason I prefer to Twitter is just because I don't have to think much while dealing with those messages, to this point, I might have became stupid. Well I do respect the research but I don't think it could change anything to me. In this research I also find something related to video games, maybe take it as some kind of proof?

Video games that involve planning and strategy, such as those from the Total War series, may also train working memory, Dr Alloway believes. ''I'm not saying they're good for your socialisation skills, but they do make you use your working memory,'' she said. ''You're keeping track of past actions and mapping the actions you're going to take.''
