HUNTING / ATTACKING

Hunting or attacking is the practice of pursuing monsters, NPC or players of the opposing race to gain experience points, fulfill quests, gain supremacy during race battles or gain contribution points.

When a player clicks a monster, NPC or opposing player, a status bar will activate indicating the he is now your target. The status bar indicates the Name, HP and the level difference between the hunted monster, NPC or opponent.

You can only hunt or attack when you are in battle mode. Switch from Peace Mode to Attack Mode by pressing CTRL + A

Doing an attack:

1. Find your target:

2. CLICK on your target. The status should appear.

3. Press the SPACEBAR or DOUBLE CLICK on the monster to commence attacking your target.

You can keep hitting spacebar or double clicking until the monster dies.

Alternatively you can switch to automatic attack mode by clicking the Attack mode icon on your lower left.

In this mode, you only need to double click or hit spacebar ONCE and your character will attack the target automatically.

When the monster is dead, you may pick up loots by hitting the spacebar or by pressing the X key. Make sure you have enough space for the loot in your backpack!

BINDING LOCATION / STORAGE

Binding a location enables you to spawn in a spot near a particular non-playing character (NPC) when your character dies on the field.

To bind a location, simply go to an NPC at the headquarters or any outpost of your race. Left-click it and select the option Binding Location.

STORAGE

In RF Online, the only means of storage is the bag, placed on the slots just below your armor. You can have a maximum of 5 bags, each bag having 20 slots for loots. The first bag will be given to you for free at the beginning of character creation. Another bag will be given to you upon completion of a particular quest. You can buy bags from a SUNDRIES NPC.

During purchase of a bag, it will be placed on one of the slots in your existing bag. After purchase, right-click on the bag and it will be automatically placed on the bag slots and is now ready for use. Once a bag has been equipped, it cannot be unequipped.

To open bags, simply left-click on it and their contents will be displayed on the slots below.
