I‘ ve heard that some of my friends decided to leave away from the virtual world of games which thay used to indulge them in. I applaud their decision, everyone has their own opinion but I think everyone should live in a real life with real friends in most time, and play in game as pastime.

But till i see a press release, i began to doubt my opinion above.

Strategy Analytics released a forecast of virtual world adoption. This study, titled "Market Forecasts for Virtual World Experiences," predicts that 22 percent of global broadband users will register for one or more virtual worlds over the next 10 years. This will expand the virtual world market to one billion registrants, with roughly an eight billion dollar services opportunity.

"Despite a multitude of challenges, virtual worlds present a unique marketing opportunity to target a highly sought demographic, and virtual worlds should be part of a company's marketing portfolio," according to Harvey Cohen, President of Strategy Analytics.

"Numerous activities and forces are at work to help validate virtual worlds' value proposition and to overcome the many barriers to mass participation," notes Barry Gilbert, Vice President and Research Director.

 Well, I had to accept the fact that more and more people will spend their time in the virtual world, its an apparent trend, maybe one day all people in this planet will move into a virtual world, so that there will be not any war happen? the destruction of environment will stop forever? if that will be true, the news seems not bad.
