There is two nations in Neo Steam which you will be able to choose which side you want to be, Rogwel and Elerd.
[Red] Rogwel is like the modern day town with a lot of machines and technology, if you see the the screenshot of their town you will know what i mean.
[Blue]Elerd is the land of magic and mystery governed over by elves and even though their population is lesser than Rogwel, they are not to be underestimated.
The characters customization is very different for both nations, and there is 7 unique races (Lyell,Elf,Human,Taxn Humans, Pom,Lupine,Tarune) to choose from. The wiki will be helpful for you to choose the best class which suit your class.
There is also different classes to choose from in the two nations, and they have different abilities. The base class of Neo Steam are scout,mystic, warriors and machinists. Each of them will be divided into two other main class which you can choose again.

There is also three kind of pets you can choose from. They are steal,attack and heal. If you are a templar/justicar or evoker/animator, you will be able to summon a company which is really good for tanking boss i guess.
You are able to craft armors and weapons and many more if you are a machinist, but the crafting of the stuffs have success rate, it may fail, so be careful =D
There is assassination quests and invasion base quest which allow you to go to your enemy country and kill their guards, you will encounter the enemy players as well, normally they will go as a team to invade the town. You can go solo if you want, it is a great experience for me as a pker XD.
The community of Neo Steam in my own opinion i should say it is great, i mean like whenever i need help, people will always try their best to help whenever they can and we went to do invasion on the other nation. I am in the Elerd kingdom , so i not very sure about Rogwel. The population of Rogwel is higher than Elerd as i heard. But even though that, Elerd community still have a good amount of high levels.
Oh yeah, about the skills, you will need you skill point and training points(TP) to level your skill. This is the only disadvantage of this game i think, you are able to get your TP up by afk tping at the TP area outside the town. If you don't want to waste electricity, you can just buy TP chargers from the item mall, they will instantly give you a certain amount of TP depend on which one you buy.
There is battlefield which you can fight against the other nation too, and lvl 41 and above is required for it. Sometimes battlefield will spawn a big monster which 1 hit ko you instantly >.
