Dungeons and Dragons Online stress test tonight

If the cry of, "Stress test this evening!" isn't enough to get you into the servers, how about, "Free Dungeons and Dragons Online!" Does that work for everyone? No? How about, "Win ATI Radeon HD 4890 cards!" Now do I have your attention?

This evening, starting at 8 PM Eastern time and going until 11 PM, will be the DDO stress test party! Turbine has some new hardware that they're looking to push to the limits, and to do that you need people. Lots of people.

The stress test will be occuring on the new Lamannia server, which requires a different client than the usual one. This also requires that you be enrolled in the Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited beta test. The full instructions on what all of that means can be found over at the DDO forums, however, so you're not left entirely in the dark.

Staying online gives you more chances to win one of the five ATI cards, or perhaps one of the ten DDO posters signed by the development team.

It seems that a flame war has already started in the Chinese forum, arguing about this camera shoot on China Joy.

Readers’ minds think alike, sometimes, and the changing advertising campaign for the “empire building” video game Evony caught the attention of fds, torenc, Assaf N., Elisabeth R., Sabriel, Nicole O., and Liz B. (images found at Gawker and Coding Horror, and hope I didn’t miss anyone who sent it in). Online ads for the game started out like this:

Then they added a woman with a little boob showing:

In case people weren’t noticing the cleavage, the ad evolved into one where the boobs are pointed out a bit more explicitly:

Odds are you’ve noticed something different on your favorite websites as of late. Something ... off. I think it’s fair to say that it’s hard to turn a corner on the Internet these days without running into a pile of breasts and a logo for the kingdom-building browser MMO, "Evony." It’s insane, and it’s only gotten “worse” as time has gone on. What began with a fantasy girl popping cleavage is now just photographs of beautiful women. I actually signed up expecting an Elf Boob simulation and was entirely shocked by the sheer lack of it. I’ve since contacted the Better Business Bureau and they’ve informed my of their plans to launch a formal investigation.*

For as much as I’d love to just blast the browser game's developers, it appears that they’ve found the absolute only way to advertise on the Internet these days. Seriously, think about it. Besides viral advertisement, which is becoming overdone thanks to several publishers missing the point, can you name the last ad campaign to generate any buzz? Most of us can’t help it; we’re browsing a blog or checking out an image on TwitPic when BAM! Boobs.

When a game involves with sex, drug, violence and other ingredients, it definitely will arouse so much attentions. Some of the game adv.  screenshots are pretty attractive. like this picture for Guita Hero, I even want to count how many spot lights on it slowly and try to figure out more details about it.It's pretty enjoyable to me:
