What's it been, almost a year?

Ahh..well, regardless it's been awhile, and I'm here on what seems to be a whim.

This was my first forray into journal writing open to complete strangers after all. And so...I can't help but feel a little sentimental. When I was writing here regularly, I ended up writing the sorts of things I wouldn't even tell my closest "friends" and it felt good. And when I look at all the stuff I wrote from a year ago, it's a bit painful. I can't help but think "Ahh this shit sucks!" because well, I consider myself a far better writer today.

Alas...I suppose that every writer must accept the fact that for every decent story he writes...He'll also write a ton of really lame ones.

But apart from that, it's painful because of all the shit that I was going through at the time which...I'll probably write about here some other time. After I left here, I more or less moved to facebook, and took up writing there again.

The difference being...It's fuck'n facebook. You know everyone there, and they know you. Which is awkward to say the least, and in the end whatever I write, I end up having to hold back. Because well, my "Friends" can read it all. And because of that...While writing is still satisfying..

It ultimately feels stifling. Because damn it,  I'm just far too nice to be able to properly convey my thoughts other people.

The beauty of having this site as a medium was the fact that nobody knew me. And because of that...And this is the super-mega-ironic-part...I found it far easier to express myself. Strange as hell right?

But Take for example one my old stories "A reflection" I sure as hell could NEVER write something like that and put it up on Facebook. For one thing, those same so-called "friends" of mine are on facebook too...

And well, I hang out with them again. A ton of shit happened. Which also means tons of writing material!

And if you see some stuff missing like "The first and the last parts 1-7" well...I took them down. Honestly, they're too painful to look at and..I think my writing for them sucked anyways.

And if you have no idea what I'm talking about...Let's just say was the most longest epic break-up story the likes of this site has ever seen! And no, I never finished it. And yes, it still bugs me that it isn't finished.

Hmm maybe I'll rewrite it later.

Anyways...I think I'll get back to cleaning out that mailbox again.
