Best F2P MMO Part 1

This series will take a look into a variety of the F2P market that is out there and give my views on which are the best and worse to play. Saving you the investment of time of playing each and everyone individually. I have played many of them already, but for this series i will take a second look into some of them just to see if any of the added features have really enriched the gameplay of the overall experience.

In this session we will be taking a look at Warrior Epic. A newer title, this game has some very unique gameplay options, and yet there are some very obvious drawbacks also. When i first started up the game i had already known about the spirit system, but for those of you who are unfamiliar with it i will explain it now. You start out with one character who you adventure with throughout  the world. You level up, gain prestige, and also gold. Prestige points are used to revive warrior spirits and recruit new ones to your forces. If you leave your warrior spirits unrevived, you can equip them to your character to use in combat as a summoning effect that helps defeat the obstacles you may be facing. In addition to summoning warrior spirits in combat, you may infuse your warrior spirits and monster spirits that you collect in you adventures into your weapons to upgrade them and increase attributes and abilities. Thats the short of the spirit system.

Now that part of the game really appealed to me when i was learning about it so i decided to give Warrior Epic a go. Much to my suprise the spirit system is the only thing remarkable about Warrior Epic. I will give instances so people don't think I'm just being bias. The game runs smooth even on older models so its a plus for people who can't get into the better games, yet that being said the gfx severly hinder me from seeing it as a new model mmo. It was just released and it already looks old. But to be fair graphics aren't everything in a game. Gameplay is a big part of the formula. To be honest I couldn't find one thing origional about the gamesystem in the least ( except for the spirit system detailed earlier). The movement system is very choppy if you use the WSAD that most current games have conformed to, so the game almost forces you to use the mouse as both a movement tool and the attack starter. Combat is base at best. Point, click, wait for it to die, every-so-often using skills to quicken the death of the mob. No real skill is involved in gameplay. And as for the skills, they are quite megerly given, meaning they are few and far between.

All this being said i like the origionallity of the spirit system, but the game has a long way to go before its worth investing any major time in. Especially to be in its final format it seems to still be incomplete. I believe my search continues for the Ultimate F2P MMO. Until next time. Be safe, and keep at it.
