An Evening Spent
Hey,
So, I took a small hiatus from MMO-ing and Flyff-ing in general. That is my favorite MMORPG, after all. In any event, I went back to it tonight and had a pretty sad little experience.
Utaiu, my main (and ONLY!) man in Flyff was a little rusty. Okay, I was rusty. I went at it blastin' away ants like there was no tomorrow. Only these are those big guys that burn you when you're trying to burn them. My rock magic was all out! Rubble was falling from the sky and those ferocious denizens of Saint Morning which seem only to exist for the purposes of our leveling up were shrieking and crying. . . .
. . .
With laughter.
I was pathetic. I died twice in so few minutes I'm not sure if the clock even realized it moved. I dropped a level. Oh, the sadness. And sadly, I dropped a level which rendered me unable to use a certain kind of magic I had previously been relying on. Since my hotkeys were set up to launch the aforementioned attacks, I guess you could say I was up a creek without a paddle.
So, I returned to town, deposited some things at the bank, ran a couple errands and then returned to the battlefield--this time, refreshed and ready to take on all that would oppose me. And I was on fire. If the rubble was falling before, it paled in comparison to the maelstrom of might I was creating with solid rock. And I quickly picked up six, seven, eight, finally ten entire experience points in just a few short minutes.
Well, then it was time to quit. Yes, enough of that.
Lunia, I thought, might be a good wind down. Flyff ended on a high-note, I switched gears to the action of Lunia. For those of you who don't know, it's a combination MMORPG and arcade action game. I've only played it a little bit, but it's a pretty easy thing to pick up now and again and enjoy.
So, I played that a bit. . . .
. . .
And died. And that's when one knows to quit.
Good night,
manaman
