MMOSite - What happened?
An open letter to what has been my favorite MMO site for years -
For so long your site has been the best place for MMO news and reviews out there. What happened?
Now it's mostly just articles from bloggers there, and pictures of "sexy" this and "sexy" that. Sexy girls. Sexy booth babes. Sexy cosplayers. Sexy game girls. Sexy videogame butts. Sexy expo girls. Etc etc. The game news is almost non existant anymore, and I know game news still exists, as I visit another site that has about 10-15 NEW game news stories every day, including weekends, with NONE of it being blogger opinion or pictures of "sexy girls". This is real gaming news happening across all different MMO's. This real daily MMO news is almost totally lacking on MMOsite.com these days. It seems to have become a place where mainly silly blogs and things that make little boys feel funny in the pants are being posted. What happened? :/
I love your site and have been with it a long time, I have contributed things there that I wouldn't anywhere else and I like to participate in your extras, and everyone knows you still get great contests and giveaways, but the site seems to have lost the main focus on MMO news and is almost all extras and filling instead. I want you to continue to succeed and be here for a long long time, did you lose some main contributors or something? Did you lose some people who were in the loop for game news and had many connections? Or did someone just decide to shift what the site was mostly about? Did someone decide that sex sells and gets more clicks than real game news?
I hope you can at least start to get more gaming news again, at least mixed in with your "sexy babe" stuff. If you need to keep that to make sure the horny nerds keep visiting the site that's fine but it would be nice to see more real news in between the erotic pictures.
I'm upset because it's a place that I love here, so please don't take the scolding wrong. I'm saying this because I really care about this site, it's not to bash you. Please come back to me and be more of the place I fell in love with! I know you can do it.

What MMOsite NEEDS is staff writers, editors that actually go to reliable sources to get news on these games. Writer's Club Material needs to be better reviewed, some come out as great articles, but others just feel like "I need to fill 1000 words". If articles titled "Warcraft 3 copy..." are allowed to surface, something is wrong with the staff that checks these stuff.
MMOsite has its moments, but most of the time now Im here for no more than 15 seconds even if there is new stuff on the site. I've been coming to MMOsite for about 2-4 years now, and I agree you were 100% better when you were fairly new. Sad to see effort go out the window once you started getting more hits.
