What is POS?

- Philippine Otaku Society was officially created dated March 19, 2007.  A small anime community just here in the Philippines to share our knowledge not just about Animes but also mangas, events and activities that are related both in Philippines and Anime. Not everyone in Philippines can watch cables nor surf in internet. We provide latest news and updates by texting it through their cellphones. YES THROUGH THEIR CELLPHONES.

Our group known as P.O.S. planned a group cosplay of Code Geass since March 2009. We've practiced hard on the skit and prepared the costumes for the Mangaholix event that was held in World Trade Center here in Philippines. You may ask me why do I have to say something about POS? It's because we cannot form this group in the 1st place if we haven't met our groupmates through cellphones.

It became popular back in 2003 a method called "texting community". A community made that can only communicate to have new friends with the use of cellphones. Because of that, clans are established to make the group more official thus making POS as one of the established groups which uses texting community to gather members or get to know them more.

We have known each other for like 3-5 years with just texting. It's like an MMO really, you get addicted in a game, you gain new friends, you raid and form parties, making the bond strong and then becoming your real friends in real life, doing EBs and so on.

Because we all love Code Geass, we decided to form a group cosplay for it. Two plans were made, 1st is to compete with other groups in MangaHolix event and 2nd to have an official photoshoot with our professional photographer friends. What I am about to show are pictures from the event with us only. We didn't bother to take shots with other groups as we are busy with our skit (being nervious is really problematic! XD). Do enjoy random pictures that we done while goofing around at Mangaholix before we perform on stage.

NOTE: I know it's not a perfect cosplay though I am happy because despite that we are total strangers residing in different parts of the Philippines, we really pulled it off at some point. I am not even confident at my cosplay because I think I ruined C.C. but I really love her and her character so I want to portrait her the best that I can. :) So if you think you don't like the pictures, just leave please. Thanks!

Now I'm going to tell this through a story. XD Don't bother the anime characters I am going to write , we have codenames in our community and that's what we call each other and known for it.

I entered the convention, actually I was shock too at first as I taught I was lost or something but thanks to Itachi he lead me to the right place where the convention is helding. I entered the convention, it's a bit small but a bit crowded too, as I open my wallet to buy an entrance ticket I saw my friends waiting infront of the entrance hall.

They spotted me, hug me (lol..XD) and we talked a lot regarding our community and stuffs. Then some strangers (con-goers) starts asking to take pictures of us, so we pose a bit for them.

After that, our leader Aya checked all of us if we are already complete. She is the founder of POS and the one who set this thing up you see. She is a bit nervious too as to what will happen to us because our Euphie cosplayer is still missing! DX

Hayabusa as our Lelouch is also sick that time. He is not feeling well but he still persisted to attend at the con which is a bit touching in our side.

We ate Pocky (woot~ nom nom nom) while waiting for our Euphie to arrive.

We went home, so tired, texting each other for congratulations, announcement was made through cellphones and then sleep. That's all.
