The Karate Kid (2010 Version)

Yeah, yeah, I know, this is a gaming site but I had to share my opinion about this new movie. Of course when I heard that there was a new Karate Kid movie coming out I was like, "UGH!" and when I heard that Will Smith's son was in it I was like, "WHY?!" Well, This past Saturday I went with my Youth Group(as a chaperone) at my church to go see the movie. I have seen the original but decided to give it a chance, an honest one.

WOW!! I was simply amazed by the acting I saw in this movie. Jackie Chan can pull off some awesome drama! Jaden Smith has a real acting future as well. Yes, I did notice that Jaden has many of WIll's mannerisms but that is to be expected. A friend here said, "Yes, Jaden Smith will outshine his father as long as he does not have a period where he is known as the Fresh Prince." Hehe, of course his rant went on a bit longer than that. 

Still, the movie has several elements of the original film but definately made them it's own. The kung fu in the movie was top notch. The chinese culture was great to see. This movie has a bit of everything, Drama, comedy, young romance, action, etc. If you want to see any movie this summer, go see the Karate Kid! Money well spent!!
