Spring Break!!

After another long break in blogging, I'm back and still as off topic as ever!  *bows several times*

So!  A quick recap of March and April:
March:  I'm finally legal!  I turned 18 on the 14.  Then I finally got to sign my own papers at the doctor's office. (lol) Plus, I'm getting better at driving.  I might even get my license by August, but don't quote me on that!  And my grades in Trig and AP Gov are slowly dropping... I need to get a move on!  This senioritis is kicking in big time!  The Robotics competetion was okay.  We placed 23rd, I think?  And I bought a book and audio cds to learn Chinese!!

April:  Soo... I really didn't feel like doing school work, but I'm getting over it real quick!  The first week of April was spent at my friend Lauren's house.  I was in my first main character role in her mini film for her project.  I hope it comes out good for her, because my acting is terrible, especially wi

It Started With Buzzsaw...

I've never really had any outstanding childhood adventures with my sisters or cousins.  We always played in the yard between my house and our grandparents'.  But yesterday was an adventure I'll never forget.  It started with a buzzsaw in Robotics...

Mr. K told me to help him build the crate to put the robot in.  I was angry that he would tell me to do such a thing.  I am an artist, not a construction worker!  Nevertheless, with my poor ability to speak up, we pull out 2x2s and 4x4s and he leads me to a buzzsaw table.  I just stand there.  He's talking about something or other and I watch as the blade eats hungrily into the 4x4.  He then stands back after taking the severed pieces and waits expectantly for something to happen.  I wait, too.  With a hand gesture, Mr. K tells me to cut my wood.  I stare dumbly.  Does it not know that I've never touched an electrical power tool?  Especially not something that would c

PO-ed Post

So I'm not going to use any fancy language or any funny stories, because I'm pissed and I don't feel like waltzing around the bush.

I am head of Promotions team in my school's Robotics, which means I design t-shirts, buttons, etc.  MY domain.  Ever since November I have asked that anyone who is interested in helping with a logo, send it by ME.  No one did anything.  Now its January and I want a logo to be done.  Ms.M askes me to do something with the 4 horsemen of th apocolpyse, since our name is now Quantum Apoco-you get the idea.  I do as she askes and I finished it about the first week of Feburary.  After a few suggestions made my Nick, the president and Ms.M, I edit it and like it more.  I'm quite satisfied by how it looked.  For a few days, I noticed that some people on the team that I don't have a particularly like for have been rather nice, almost too much so, but I don't think about that.  One of these people, he sha

Lucky~

Last week was exam week, woo...  Being a senior, I was exempt from taking exams that I had an A or B average in, except my AP classes and Optical Theory.  Fortunately, my Opti  class took it the Thursday before exam week, so I didn't have to go to school at all on Monday or Tuesday.  Wednesday and Thursday I had to come to school half a day for those AP classes.  I learned soon that I got a 93/A in Eng (Easy.) and an 81/C in Government (Hey, I passed...).  I still don't know about my grade in Opti, because it has snowed practically alllllll weekend, meaning no school Monday through Wednesday!!!  Then yesturday they made us go to school on a 2 hour delay, and today, no school.  God is good!  We're probably not going to school much of next week either.

So...I played the first day of CB of Aika Online... and stopped after half an hour.  I was pretty disappointed overall.  Namely there were only 3 classes to choose from, the gameplay was the generic autoattack and spamming skills, and the map really sucked at showing anything.  Besides it be understandably overcrowded which meant the mobs of enemies were quite sma

Passing The Time

'Ello again~

Like it says,  I'm just passing the time... I should be semi-studying for midterms next week and doing a 50-questioned quiz-grade homework assignment, but, you know how fun procrastination is!

So for the longest time I've been trying to play RF Online, I think around the time I played my first MMO, The Legend of Ares (OLD!), but anyway, the computers I tried it on didn't meet the requirements or was missing a shader (?) of some kind, but I got it to work two days ago.  I was semi-syched to play.  I got past all previous obstacles, created a character, did the tutorial, and did the first like....8 quests.  I made it to lvl12 in under 2 hours and I got bored realll quick.  Epic fail is all I have to say... What a waste of 8 hours of dl + game time.

Robotics... Im technically the head of the Promotions/Spirit division, you know, Tshirts, buttons, fundraising, etc., so that the guys have money to build the robot with.  And I did not sign up for the position, but none of the rest on the division wanted to really step up, plus the teachers in charge of Robotics thought I was the best choice, since I helped with a trillion projects la

Yay, I'm Semi-On Topic for Once!

This time, I shall chat about games with you for awhile!  Okay, so, forgive me if I've told you before, I defeated Assassin's Creed 2 Sunday around 3 pm-ish.  That's the first time in my life, I beat a game in a little bit over 2 weeks.  Yay, new record!!  But anyway, I enjoyed playing it.  Although I wished it had been longer, I still have to collect the feathers, beat all the races, and find the last beat-em-up... I can't wait for AC3 to come out!!  Do they have a soundtrack availiable for AC2??

In the meantime, I started Heavenly Sword Tuesday-ish and at first I was like "wtf, there are like 50 buff guys attacking my poor-not-defenseless heroine!!" But then I liked the beating the crap out of anything that moved deal.  I swear my right hand its getting a workout more than usual!  Yay me!  Then you meet Kai, the kiddish feline chick in my avatar (I finally figured out how to change it from the other profile menu!!), whom favors a huge arrow launcher.  Personally, I like Kai over Nariko, the red-haired heroine, except I can't shoot for flipping beans!  It's taken me more time trying to compl

About My Planned Hibernation...

I never really got around to doing that properly.  The first three days were great.  Especially since it snowed so hard that we couldn't go to church Sunday (Yes!) we got to sleep in... Of course I didn't wake until noon.  But I can't remember, and I am too lazy to check whether I told you already, that for Christmas a part of my family was going to visit my eldest sister and her boyfriend up in northern Virginia.

Well, that Thursday, Christmas Eve, was already turning to sour poo.  (Lol, for some reason that sounds like something Sandy would say XD) We were supposed to have left around one pm to beat any other late travelers heading north, but with the way my family is, always add extra time because someone *COUGH* Mom...*COUGH* can't get herself together and blames it on the rest of us for making her late.  I don't see how I've endure it for so long.  But oh, it gets worse later on.  So, for the two hour drive, I'm blasting music into my ears to drown out the crappy gospel station (Sorry, but after hearing the same gospel songs every time I hop in the van, you just can't take it) and ignore any of the conversation that never

Hibernation!

It's finally the beginning of Winter Break, and I am ready to being hibernation!  I guess I'll just tell you how the last few days have gone.

This week has been very physical, as in i've probably worked up at least 2 pounds of muscle in my arms.  Plus I think my muscles and such around my spine have gotten stronger from standing for longer hours and bracing myself to try not to cut something important whether its flesh or black-painted wood.  I've been going to Art class during my study blocks as well as regular class.  So that means I'm working first class of the morning and last class on one day, and the third class on the second day.  I am almost religiously working on this woodblock print.  I have finally cut out all the yellow this morning of my former day and I have completed my first two magenta prints on the yellow after many false starts.  When I pulled of the first of the magentas, it was off by a centimeter or to, since I had to lay the block of wood on top of the yellow print, but it looked KICKASS, pink-magenta over golden yellow and spots of white.  It's going to look so great with jet black over it all; I'm excited

Longest Week?

Sooo...Winter Break starts next Monday and I am sooo ready for it!  I say "so" a lot.  How annoying.  This week is going to last forever, and so far, it has been true.

This morning I go to the art room to ask for a pass so that I can get out of study hall and finish my wood block print, but my teacher did show up and I have 5 minutes to hussle back to study hall, not that she would notice me, Jasmine the Innocence Student, walking in late.  So instead I did my Trig homework that was due the next block.  Did I tell you I got my first F on an interim in all my years of school?  I though my mother would kick my ass into next year, but she just shrugged.  WTF.  If any of my other sisters had gotten an F, not a 69 F, but a 44 F, she would have TORN their butts with the leather belt!   But all I get is a shrug!  I'm kind of irritated about that... You know, no one ever remembers me as a young child.  I can ask them what was I like as a two year old and they wouldn't be able to say anything.  I was forgotten basically.  And they wonder why I'm so antisocial around them or form stran

First Black Friday Outing

Last night, my family and I went to the mall for Black Friday sales.  Well, I was quite excited, since this was the first time I've ever been out on this day, plus, my sister and I would being getting a PS3 and a game or too.

So, the evening started off with a Wendy's combo #1 and a sprite.  I ended up aborting the tomatoes, onions, and lettuce, since I'm still figuring how to eat properly with braces.  Did I tell you I got braces?  They suck big time.  I am quite upset with myself that I laughed at my other sisters for having them.  But anyway, after the ordeal, mom told me to go to GameStop to see if they were selling the system for less.  That kind of ticked me off.  I spent three hours online with a slow internet connection surfing the brandname sites for the Wii and PS3 deals when I could have being finishing my art portfolio for Tuesday.  I don't know how much clearer "they are $299 everywhere for the system + one controller" can get.

I slip by a mass group of people to get across the food court to the store.  The tiny places is packed.  I've never seen the mall like this since...like I was 4.&nbs
