0 Digg it    Mary Shelley - Frankenstein

Image taken from Wiki.

Nice book, but not sublime.
Like in Wuthering Heights the narrator can feel to an inferior level, the character he talks about is regarded as something coming from hell.

"Did I request thee, Maker, from my clay
to mould me man., did I solicit thee
from darkness to promote me...?"

"For the first time, also, I felt what the duties of a creator towards his creature were, and that I ought to render him happy before I complained of his wickedness."

"When angels fall down to earth they become devils."

It teaches you that you should never judge people from appearance, and that that way of thinking is much more horrible than what their look may ever be.
It should be also an appeal to science to think before playing with life but I haven't felt much of it in the book.
The truth is that the monster is a great character, while Frankenstein is just so damn fix.
And I can't feel sympathy for unanimated things.

"...most people respect the badge, everybody respects the gun."

There are De Niro and Al Pacino in it, so go watch the movie.
I liked it (and I rarely like cop movies), it has a nice story and tries to tell the difference between good and right, which is quite something.

0 Digg it    My 106 can run out of fuel.
  Views: 52  |  Category : Life lessons |  Post time : Sep 26, 2008    Comments: 5  |  Bookmark
I ran out of fuel with the Audi 90 1.8 I drove before getting the 106, but it was just a part of it as I knew that the Audi drank petrol quickly.

The 106 drinks much less. So much less that I thought let's drive and wait for dad to refuel it.
So today 26-09-2008 I was going at 17.35 to get my bro from the stage, I was singing "you and me"[- Lifehouse], when the engine had a big loss of power. Istantly I was scared I had broken something in the engine and I was only at 130 km/h, after a litte the car turned off and I turned calmer.
I let intertia make the car go for some metres, but it stopped at the uphill exit road of the four lane highway, not a good position. Therefore I pushed the 106, got to the downhill, controlled the road I was going to get in and then I jumped in when the car was moving.
The car went by herself near a turn, there I pushed it for a few metres to a bar. There Moreno offered me his help and we refueled the 106.

Gotten my bro into the Peugeot I could finally hear him saying "Don't trust the 106".
Worst of all, he had just stopped asking me if we had enough fuel before I turned on the car, hope he doesn't restart that bad habit...

Cloverfield is a strange movie. It didn't get me scared, but I felt just like worried about what was happening on the screen. I didn't really cared about the main characters, but the handycam here has the power to make you feel like filming. Written and posted from N82.

0 Digg it    Memories of a geisha

Based on the book of Arthur Golden. Great movie, I loved it. It tells another way of living life. It's a strong and passionate life, in a realistic situation, surely ispiring for lovers. Nice phrases The very meaning of geisha is "artist". A moving work of art. A geisha can entertain you. Whatever you want. The rest is shadows. The rest is secret. We don't sell our bodies, we sell our abilities. Much more... Written and posted from N82.

0 Digg it    Sony PMP
  Views: 37  |  Category : General |  Post time : Sep 05, 2008    Comments: 2  |  Bookmark
I was in Durres when my eyes saw it and being the stupid kid I am I entered the shop, tried it and decided to buy it later.
I'm quite sure it's not a real Sony, but I'm happy of the brand it has.
I mean, it's better than nothing and I like Sony more than Samsung and so on.
It's a pmp = portable multimedia player with 3" display which reads mp4, mp3 with lyrics, ebooks and has a tv output, hopefully useful for movies on tv.
At the moment it only has 1gb of internal memory, I'm gonna buy a 2 or 4 gb sd card as soon as I find a cheap one.
It has a camera for 1,3mp photos and low-quality videos.
My brother was happy for the camera, it wasn't an important thing for me.
Last thing : it has a nes emulator program for gaming, ah good old days...
