Okay, it has been like a week since my last article. I think.
Let’s begin! The topic today is MONSTERS!! BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! TEEHEE! (^.^)
Monsters in MMORPG range from zombies ("BRAINS!!!") to fleshys (humans) to giant killer robots to little binny rabbits. From Birdys to Fishys to weird bunches of nasty colors put into one big blob with an eye. And so on and so on, there are a lot of them.
Monsters Without Skills
I don’t know about you, but I like monsters that use 2 or more moves to attack you either than just hitting you with his arm or just hacking away the same direction over and over. I mean monsters are smart (not that I know one) they should be at least be given 2 ways of attacking. Let’s use a zombie holding his arm as an example and he’s charging at you, if that zombie throws his arm at you then rips his other arm off with his mouth and beats you down with it…that would be pretty sick ass. But some developers just have the zombie charge at you and hit you with his arm. (Like come on. Boooooo!!) Another example of a monster that should have more than one way of attacking is a wizard. Wizards should be able to have a knife with them so if the player gets too close for him to use his magic, he will stab you. It just brings a little more flavor to the game and bit more challenging.
Monsters That Looks the Same But with a Different Name
Let’s use our friend bob, bob is a zombie living in the basement. He is known as ‘Zombie’ he has grey skin. His cousin Martha lives a few blocks away and her name is ‘Fire Zombie’, she has red skin. They both look the same just with a different color of skin. In some mmorpgs you will encounter pretty much the same monster that you fought when you were level 1 when you are now level 25. It might have a different color of skin or it just got bigger and you are like WOAH! De ja vu. ‘Fire Zombies’ such as Martha should have a flaming head and have fire coming out of her mouth or something and for bob… well he is just a regular zombie so he doesn’t need to change. (Poor bob) Also if the monster is…lets say a ‘Strong Zombie’, this zombie should not look exactly the same as bob because well…it’s strong so it should have giant muscles, spikes coming out of him, and bigger than our friend bob.
Very Aggressive Monsters
Aggressive monsters makes the game a bit more challenging but sometimes it gets very annoying, especially when you are on your own. Developers should know that not everyone play in a party, so they can at least space out the re-spawn points of the monsters so its not like “You Are Dead” you come back, “You Are Dead”. Sooner or later, you lose all your experience. I don’t like monsters where you shoot one from a distance then the ones beside it attack you too. (Like wtf) I’m trying to not die here…but that’s how developers made them. Truly, aggressive monsters have their advantages in AOE parties but that’s about it.
Melee Monsters That Hits You from Faraway
This usually happens when you are running away from a monster and for some reason you are still being hit even though the monster is 10 m away from you. I don’t know how that works, like I was running away from a big mob of monsters and I saw I was about 20 steps ahead of them and they were still hitting me and I eventually died. =[ (Wtf!) *sigh* pretty much the only way of surviving is attacking back.
Monsters That Hates Kill Stealers
Well, every monster in every game should hate ksers because they are one of the most hated players in the game and they read dirty comics in their mom’s basement. (Yeah I forgot to put this in my last article). When you attack a monster, it’s yours no matter if some retard kills it. I hate it how when you are fighting a boss and you been there for 30 minutes and some other party comes in and steals it. I just hate that, it makes everyone that works hard mad and those britches that didn’t do shit are celebrating. Please developers… Fix That!
Monsters with Healing Skills
If developers want to add a healing skill to a monster, please give it a limit to how often it uses it. Like I was fighting the same monster for like 30 minutes because it kept using its healing skill, it was a waste of time and it didn’t even drop something I wanted. It was the end of that game and AkatsukiSwordmaster. Yeah so, game companies need to give the monsters with healing techniques a limit because they like using them.
Yeah if you notice the paragraphs got smaller towards the end, it’s because I was suppose to be sleeping when I was writing this. Oh well. Hoped you enjoyed it. If not...then you must die a horrible death!! >.> J.k
