TERA and it's heavy censorship and what it may mean for other NA releases

North America's censorship of TERA doesn't stop with just Elin, it's also in the forums.
This was the response to a player's post who first posted a screenshot of his/her character's "unmentionables" (A close up of the plate thong) A moderator gave this reason, despite the fact that you'll be seeing the character up-close in the game anyway.
Edited by: Minea about 3 hours ago - Reason: Image edited. Posting a character's image to share with others is great.
Zooming into one inappropriate section and posting it is not. Please see the Rules of Conduct and forum rules.
with EnMasse censoring things from swear words and racial slurs in the forums (But failing to do so in-game despite the outcry of the players) players wonder about EME's incompetence to listen to the player base (Some even go as far to blame the former producer of AION, Brian Knoxx, Also known as Knoxxer on the forums) to making the forums too "kid friendly" and "carebear".
One player even pointed out a moderator's contradiction with their own rules regarding such things:

THIS was the moderator's response:
7. Do not post or use graphic sexual, grotesque, and violent language or images. There are enough websites out there for this. We don’t need another one.
The image was edited because it created a separate image of the sexual part of the character and focused on it. All the other images of others were not edited because the focus was not the sexual part.
@Blindfayth, This is your last warning. Please refer to the Official TERA forum rules for discussing rules and moderation action, and please stop derailing this thread.
Things to take note of:
SEXUAL
(Almost every single character model in game is dressed in a provacatively sexual manner one way or another, some even have overly sexual animations)
GROTESQUE AND VIOLENCE
(The game has the player hacking away at monsters with an unrealistic amount of blood seeping through it's wounds and blood covering your character's face)
VIOLENT LANGUAGE
(There's a load of complaints regarding a chat filter due to the community's racial, homophobic and pedophilia slurs, offensive names and comments flood the chat daily and nothing is done to prevent these things in game, yet EME takes the time to censor these things in it's forums and ignore the playerbase)
THE BIG QUESTIONS:
Games with "Mature" ratings such as TERA are still getting censored, not just in the game itself, but it's forums as well.
Do these things bring the westerner's views on sexuality and open-mindedness in a bad light?
Should games with a mature rating and censored, be re-rated for the audience?
Is censorship in games even needed?
