Guild Wars 2 Ending – Rant! (Spoilers Inside)
By: Pelagato in Guild Wars 2posted at 3:01 pm Jan 26,2013 - 0
Hey peeps, today I manage to finish the last quest in the GW2 storyline, after months of procrastination, I manage to get a group today and I finally killed Zhaitan, the antagonist in Guild Wars 2.
The thing is that instead of feeling a nice sensation of joy inside myself, I feel kinda mad because the final moments after the quests are so friggin lackluster! The fight as it is, is kinda cool and awesome but after that, all your NPC friends start babbling about throwing up a party and that other dragons are around so you can expect more fights soon.
I understand that we won!!! We defeated Zhaitan!!! But do we have to screw up the moment with childish babbling and the anti-climax idea that we have other dragons around, not to mention that now the new story is kinda spoiled up because I know that we are going to fight some damn dragons once again… It feels that all I get is a damn “To Be Continued” on the screen, not exactly an ending.
Awesome battle, lackluster aftermatch...
We all know that

P2P Isn't Dead, Your Game Just Sucks
By: Zanpakutou in defaultposted at 3:41 pm May 24,2012 - 3

This is a reply to this article http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/23/analyst-estimates-amalur-ip-worth-20-million-38-studios-employ/
One thing I have to say is that P2P gaming is not dead. It has not been dead nor will it ever be. The problem with P2P gaming nowadays is that it has to compete with other services that often offer a better deal. The Xbox Live and Playstation Network services basically offer you a full year of online play for all your games and it only costs $50. On the other hand, playing just a single MMO will cost you $15 a month most of the time. You also need to buy the game first, which is another $50 or so just to even get started. If you compare a pay to play MMO to any sort of other game, it is far more expensive even when you factor in buying a console

Why Online Poker is a Waste of Time!
By: MapleTire in defaultposted at 11:42 pm Mar 20,2012 - 0

When it comes down to a video game being a waste of time, Online Poker is the biggest waste of time on any online game. Online Poker is rigged in a way where the player has to be lucky for the sake of being lucky and it's not a pretty sight.
If anyone has done any form of programming, they'll know that you can do ANYTHING when you're aimmed with C programming langauge or any programming langauge for that matter and when I mean ANYTHING, I mean ANYTHING!
I've ever sat down to play poker but I know that computers can 'change cards' and display something else on the spot. The computer cheats so you'll simply stay
I wouldn't mind the stay but when I decided to say to myself 'I'm going to lurk for a bit', I noticed that players were hitting and making calls in a predictable way. So pr-

Super Street Fighter IV = Disappointing

So, yesterday I had my first opportunity to play Super Street Fighter IV.
Now, I know I've never really spilled anything like this before on the forums, but I am a HUGE Street Fighter fan. I collect the comics, I collected the trading cards back when Epic Battles was making their card fighting game (that was a very fun little game), I have most of the Street Fighter games, and I know the canon like the back of my hand. Street Fighter IV was incredibly exciting because this was the first time Capcom really went out of its way to make an accessible fighting game for anybody, and really went out of their way to balance all the fighters to make what was easily the best technical Street Fighter made. At first, I was really upset when I heard that Capcom was making an "expansion" to t

What can be improved on games?
By: Ottoha in defaultposted at 2:27 pm Aug 07,2009 - 1
Hello again,
I've accidentaly deleted my last article where I said I was getting older and the games didn't appeal to me as much as before. So here is another article where I'll try to express some ideas Ihave to change this scenario.
Let's start:
Level based games:
Well, i've thought a lot about it and this seens to be the main reason why games are becoming boring. I do love to level... the feeling of getting to the end of that EXP bar and see all the flashy stuff that happens... but ... with levels comes........? That's right...
GRINDING!!!
I could'nt think a level based game without grinding... wich sucks... so, the only logical solution to me was changing the system ... wich I don't think the companys are up too..... but that's another problem....
Another thing that sucks on level based games is...
PVP!
Let's face it... with equipment resticted by level, skill points gained by...level... pvp becomes very unfair... put a 3 level difference between the characters and you'll probly have a massacre....
Another thing.... monsters separated by level and area .... that really turns me off.... like u can draw a line in the map and separate them.... around cities we have passi

Looking for Something in Nothing

Inspired by: Any News Story that involves messed up 'Online Relations'
Before I even begin this article, I would like to point out a few of my personal opinions. I believe that the internet is the Pillar of Anonymity. Not only to do you NOT have to be yourself online, but you have the option now and days to be just about anything you want. If you’re a closet racist looking to spew mindless dribble on the latest presidential election or if you simply wish to live in a fantasy land of warriors and monsters, the internet offers all of these things and more for usually a low price of a PC and a decent connection speed. I wrote an article earlier expressing my opinion on how I feel it’s wrong that MMORPG’s often force friendships in order to progress for the common good of your online experience. While some of you agreed, others stated that it was rather pointless to go onto an MMO without the want to meet other people in a social setting. While I validate that while MMO’s are a meet and greet place, sort of like going to an arcade (for those of you old enough to remember what arcades were like when they were at the top of their game), I still don’t agre
