SWTOR Endgame

Part 1

While the majority of players are still chugging along through their first play through of this mammoth masterpiece, a much smaller percentage have gotten their first taste of endgame raiding content. Being what some would call a 'Hardcore' raider, a designation I nether revel in nor detest, I can not deny the fact that I do enjoy endgame content. Bringing down the biggest and baddest bosses a game has to offer gives one a sense of unparalleled euphoria that is hard to put into words. This high is only magnified if you're able to do so before anyone else on a particular server or for that matter garner a coveted 'World First'. So what can be said about SWTOR's endgame? Before I begin giving you the skinny on what's working and what's broken, be warned I have a

We've heard for a while (i.e. back at Blizzcon) that the way we raid in Cataclysm will feel vastly different than how we raid now.  Currently players run the same instances twice during a raid lockout period, causing some serious burnout if you're doing everything in 10 and 25 man versions.  Today,  Bashiok explained that the changes we're going to see in the raid system will be coming sooner than the expansion launch date.

The new raid lockout system coming with Ptach 4.01 will be on a per character basis.  This means that if you run ICC with a 25 group that breaks up at the Gunship, you can kill Saurfang with a 10 man and finish the rest of the inside with even a third group.  It's flexbility at its finest, and we won't have to wait long to be able to

I really like this post over at Mystic Chicanery. Every guild, when raiding, has its own unwritten rules of play. You just know that by the end of your raid, the MT will be drunk, the priest will have died about five tim

"He who wishes to be obeyed must know how to command." - Niccolo Machiavelli

Gray clouds blanket the sky, blocking the carnage of war from the eyes of the gods. Snow falls on grim faces. Gloved hands clutch the hardened wooden handles of spears and swords. Cold eyes, alive now but perhaps soon dead, stare over the dunes of white snow. A rumble grows in the distance. It gets closer, followed by the rings of armored plates crashing together. The first giant appears over the horizon. Another appears beside it. Then another and another. They are huge. They roar the name of Rallos Zek and raise their own swords, ten feet long and sharp as razors. One adventurer holds his sword high into the air and returns the roar. A battle explodes in sweat and steel and blood.

At one time or another in our paths as adventurers on Norrath we might find ourselves at the lead of one such battle. Few of us are born into leadership as the warlords of Felwithe are. Sometimes
