SWTOR, My Absense and Smarties!
By: Spiili in Star Wars: The Old Republicposted at 9:14 pm Sep 22,2012 - 1
Yes, ladies and gentlemen,
It's been quite some time since I last posted an article upon this very fine website! Currently I'm going through the promotion process of my job, which is quite long, but well, it's looking good, this doesn't mean I haven't had a great deal of time to play the Old Republic of course!
What have I been up to? Well PvPing mostly, with the odd flashpoint thrown in for good measure. You'll be pleased, or uninterested to know that I've finally gotten full War Hero armour, and I'm getting a lot more out of my class, there are various inbalances in the classes, but Shadow Infiltration is what I'll be sticking to!
So... Ranked Warzones... Plenty of personal issues with this, getting stuck with incapable team members, for which you are scared to confront because they are useless, and you don't want to upset the rest of the team by doing so! I had one instance where some scottish fella was interrupting the leaders target calls, and I just told him to...

Star Wars: The Old Republic 1.3 Legacy Details are Out
By: Lushy in Star Wars: The Old Republicposted at 4:24 pm Jun 23,2012 - 0
The updated details for the Legacy System in Star Wars: The Old Republic have been published here. The new additions will bring in several features that are for individual characters, instead of being Legacy-wide. While I applaud the expansion to the system, I was also sad to see how many excellent features that will be added are going to be restricted to a single character.
On the plus side, this does stop someone who is ridiculously good at making credits into purchasing all of the perks in one swoop and having 8 characters who level to max in a matter of days. On the other hand, I'm hoping that some of the perks, such as the Field Respecialization Droid, will be eventually moved to Legacy-wide. Considering that the Repair Droid on your ship is a Legacy-wide unlock, they should have some sort of trend here involving summoning helpful robots. It worked for Luke Skywalker after all, right?
The traveling perks are also defi

Oceanic Guild Highlight: Finding the Right Launch Group
By: Illian.Amerond in Star Wars: The Old Republicposted at 11:03 pm Nov 30,2011 - 1
With the massive beta stress test weekend that got over 2 million players into the Star Wars: the Old Republic, comes a large group of players wondering where they can join up to local Guilds. If your like me and enjoy playing with others then selecting the right guild is key to enjoying the game experience.
Much of the Oceanic community was left in the dark with Bioware's plans for launch; However, this does not mean that members of the Oceanic community can not play! A large group of individuals have been working to organize the Oceanic community into a viable network of guilds looking to enter the Game on Launch right along side the American, European and South American counterparts. Many of the players already registered at the main TOR site include the Oceanic C-

"There is nothing more difficult than armed struggle. / In armed struggle, the difficulty is turning the circuitous into the direct, and turning adversity into advantage." -- Sun Tzu, from "The Art of War"
Ah, it's been quite a long time since I updated. Once again. I'd have a good estimate as to how long it's been since I've last updated, but I can't seem to open my own journal. Eh heh heh... Oh well. If anything in this breaks my usual format, I'll maybe fix it. Or I'll forget. Whatever. This entry will probably be short, because there's really not much to tell, though there have been a few events to occur in my life. To begin, I have a new occupation. That's right, The Ron now works at The Home Depot. I started working there about a month ago, as a cashier. Of course, as things have been going recently, my position as a cashier is only a technicality. Management loves to put me in other departments, especially the lot and lumber. And from there, I'm usually going through the store helping everyone. Not that this bothers me, mind you, as straying from the front-end usually means my days go by a lot faster, not to mention the fact-

"You can never get silence anywhere nowadays, have you noticed?" -- Bryan Ferry
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAH! AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! AH! AH! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Y'know, I could go on, but I could scream out a whole journal entry's worth! I wanna put a rusty nail into my skull right now! Why? Because if I lose this damn challenge scenario one more time, I'm gonna go in-fucking-sane! I wad advised that it would be hard, but it's impossible!! What am I talking about? Well, I bought Romance of the Three Kingdoms 10 yesterday. There's an option in it to load your created characters from Romance 9 onto 10. Now, in Romance 9, there was an option to load your characters from 8 onto 9. Therefore, I'd be loading my characters from both 8 and 9 onto 10 as a final result. Now that's a pretty sweet deal. Now, for those who don't know, Romance of the Three Kingdoms 9 is one of the hardest games on the market, and I hate it like the fucking plague. So I ended up deleting my data in it. So, I decide to rest-

"Perception is reality." -- Traditional
Oh boy.
Yeah, it's been over a week since I've updated, and I've
considered updating for the past couple of days, but I
never got around to it, but I figure I should update
today. I'm in a bit of a funny mood, which is why I chose
the quote above. Then again, this entry, more or less, is
to clear the air of a misunderstanding as well as update
everyone as to what I've been doing.
Let's start with an update on my life. My morale has been
shaky since New Year's Day. I've had my up days and my
down days, as I'm sure many of my online friends have
seen. I haven't quite been myself, although yesterday and
the day before I was feeling quite fine. I've been
spending almost every day, or every other day, at Dom's
house (still), and I've been playing lots and lots of
Fable. That game is great. For those of my friends who RP
with me and know the character Slice, I made him in Fable,
and made him godly. I also made him quite the ladies' man
and pimp, as I've currently married

"Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world,
she walks into mine." -- Humphrey Bogard
I was contemplating using "It is better to have love and
lost than to have never loved at all" and begin with an
arguement against that, but I figured that might be a
little over the top right now.
I can't promise a large entry today. Today, for sure, I'm
going to do that research paper, and finish the rest of my
homework. I'm not exactly sure how long this will all
take, but my plan is to get that out of the way as soon as
mom leaves for work, because I hate working around her.
She drives me nuts, and I just have an overall hard time
working around her. It's better left alone that way.
This morning was awkward for me. Today, in a couple hours
in fact, will mark an exact week since Candice and I broke
up. Well, for the past couple of days, especially after my
revelation on monday, I had been feeling quite fine. This
morning, on one of the occasions I woke up early to take
the dog out, I seem to remember having a

"Two roads diverged in a wood and I,
Took the one less traveled by,
And it has made all the difference." -- Robert Frost
Well, I promised an interesting day. While "interesting"
may not translate to "exciting", I dare say that in my own
special way I have delivered. Today most certainly was an
interesting day, if I do say so myself. My day, I suppose,
wasn't all that eventful, but there were a number of
events that will be shaping this update quite well. I also
expect this journal update to be long, as I wrote a list
of what I wanted to talk about in school today,
considering there's not much else for me to do there
that's actually constructive.
So, let's get the show on the road!
The day in and of itself was rather uneventful. I went to
class, did my stuff, returned Budokai 3 and Chronicles of
Riddick to Hollywood Video, rented out DodgeBall, and came
home to watch it. There were a few moments, however, that
have opened the floodgates. I'm feeling psychologically
frisky tonight.
Guess I'm getting my

Age Limit for Gaming ?
By: ecn in defaultposted at 9:31 pm Jun 29,2009Tags: Old

I was just thinking about something . As much as I hate it , I'm entering the later half of my 20's . At the the same time I'm not planning on quitting gaming any time soon . This brings up the question of what will the future of mmos be like ? Single player rpgs affects no one , but in the mmo market it makes a huge difference .
Starting out , people in mmos are more used to the teen to 20's market . This is a pretty small area where I guess the it's expected most people actually have some free time . If you're younger you need to be shielded from people with bad language , if you're older you get too busy or lose interest in gaming . More new mmos are aimed towards children than towards 30+ aged people than before such as Free Realms and Wizard 101. It's great to play an online game in safety and most likely with your family . As time goes on though , what happens with the growing older gamers ? I've seen in some games it's perfectly acceptable . In fact I was part of a guild in Mabinogi that ended up

Know Your Roots: A History Lesson in Gaming
By: Lushy in All gamesposted at 2:26 am Jul 10,2008 - 2

Games began to make it’s move from arcades to in-homes with the introduction of the Magnavox Odyssey in 1972. The breakthrough introduced Pong to home gamers, spawning several versions. In 1976, otherwise called the beginning of the 8-Bit era, the Atari took the lead of Second-Gen with Space Invaders, along with the exclusive rights to popular arcade games, even though the Colecovision had rights to Donkey Kong. Third-Gen consoles are probably considered the most popular with the introduction of the NES, the upgraded Atari, and the Sega Master System in the early 80‘s thro
