Imagine placing the Earth in a glass bottle where the only possible energy transfers are through electromagnetic radiation. Solar radiation Pandora charmseither passes through the bottle without change; bounces off the bottle, changing direction but not energy; or is absorbed by the content of the bottle. The radiation absorbed stimulates the motion of molecules in the bottle, increasing the temperature of the bottle and its contents.

So your mom won’t stop pestering you about shutting down your system, taking a shower, and getting a real job but you don’t want to slave for peanuts at the local sweatshop doing something you hate while dreaming about your poor abandoned box back home. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there—heck, I’m still there, and I’m 30 years old and married! You need cash but can’t bear the thought of losing your gamer cred so what can you possibly do? Never fear! I’ve compiled a list of the six best jobs for gamers and if you can’t find something that works for you on this list . . . keep looking.

1) Flip Burgers
Don’t knock it! Fast food service equipment has come a long way since the seventies. Nowadays, if you work at McD’s you get to wear a cool headset all day and shout into the microphone just like you do on Xbox live. To top it off, some of the drink machines are automated and all you have to do is push buttons and watch the cups roll around on a mechanized track! Wow, and your mom said all those hours of dropping tangos with your buddies in Rainbow Six was a waste of

The Misunderstood Healer
By: Magmabow in defaultposted at 8:47 pm Jul 03,2009 - 2
Ok im going to say this now lol this is just my opinoin about the Healer role in games.
The Healer they go by many names Bishops, Priest, Cleric, White mage and many more.
But Do we really know About them.

Yes the people that stand in the back. Yes the people that you sometimes think leech off exp. But lets look past that, the Healer is a main part in your party they are the gas that keeps the car running. If it wasnt for them your party would end up like this.
<---- (Whitemageless party)
Yea you dont want that happening to you and your party.
Playing the healer is also a stressful job the life of everyone in the party is in your hands. and its there split sec. decisions that mean life or death for you.
The White mages arsenal of skills are amazing in any game but that one main skill that we all need is Cure or any spell that has an effect of restoring HP. Without this skill and many other just for an example raise or any skill that can revive a player, most parties are doomed to fail (not all just most.)
Hmm lets create a sceneario say this is happ

Mario Helps Developer Quit Job, Fantastic!
By: Hyuk in defaultposted at 3:08 am Apr 29,2009Tags: 2K Australia developer mario quit job

if done correctly, quitting your job can be the absolute coolest thing you could ever do. When else do you get to air out hostilities you've harbored for countless years, impress cohorts with theatrical gesticulations and possibly, depending on the awfulness of your workplace environment, relieve yourself in a coffee pot?
One Mr. Jarrad recently took a less disgusting route to resignation from his position at 2K Australia -- he programmed a short (but sweet) Flash game, one which informs his employers that he's putting in his two week notice with grace and politeness. Also, with Mario.

You can play this flash game here :http://www.farbs.org/Message.html

So who's ready to stuff their face?
By: sharpnel in defaultposted at 6:47 pm Nov 24,2008Tags: para dancing thanksgiving black friday job

Because I certainly am! :) Well...I'm actually look forward to the weekend after Thanksgiving, hehe. Why? Well...Black Friday of course! So many people who have not heard of it before know it now because I haven't shut up about it. It's the ONLY day where I am ALLOWED to spend a lot of money! Muahaha! It makes me happy :)
Although...I don't think I'll be able to buy a game console or any kind of electronic. I kind of sounded like a spoiled brat today because my mom said she wasn't gonna let me spend as much as a last year for stuff and I got mad and started bitching about how I wanted money to buy clothes. As soon as I said all that I was like..."Damn...I'm very selfish here. My mom is providing me money to actually buy something and here I go...bitching about not having 'enough'" I guess I've been Shop-Deprived, heh because I've been cutting back as much as I could on spending lately because more money is needed to be sent to our family in Vietnam for support because everyone happens to be in a predicament now. I really wish my cousins in Cali or Maryland would send money to the family because my mom is the only fami

Let's Rave!
By: sharpnel in defaultposted at 12:31 pm Oct 25,2008 - 0
Well, Halloween's coming up soon. Since my mom thinks it's outrageous to spend 20, 30 dollars for a costume at party city, I'm just gonna go visit goodwill and maybe even see if I can hit Carrytown for some old stuff that I can put together to make into some outfit. Thing is, Devyn invited me to her party although I'm not totally sure if I was "officially invited" because it was kinda just like her and her mom saying that I'm gonna see how awesome their parties are every year. Buuut if that doesn't work out, then I'm thinking about joining Justin. He has this awesome idea to just walk through the neighborhood raving with glow sticks and having a backpack with speakers blasting techno and trance. I would totally join! I definately need to go out with my friend Amy to a rave club. Of course...I don't know any but she has gone to some that allow 16 year olds to get in. As long as there's ID of course. I'm all good :)
Then maybe one day, I'm gonna have David and I and maybe even Alex just start Para'ing in TOK because we're the only Anime/Japanese freaks in IB, hehe XD
But yeah...that'd be awesome.
Today feels like an emo yet happy day. It's em

Common MMORPG Class: Spotlight~! *Mage*
By: royallush in defaultposted at 1:33 pm Aug 13,2008 - 2

The Basics:
The Mage, also known as a Wizard, is typically one of the first basic starter classes in an MMORPG. They are known for their powerful spells attacks, magical buffs that enhance casting performance, and explosive AoE damage. What are usually known as ‘glass cannons’, mages are know to dish it out, but can’t take physical damage very well. They typically use a type of mana bar that limits their casting, basically rending them useless if it runs dry. While they stay in ranged-distance for the most part, magical spells are usually not stopped by space between themselves and their targets, unlike the archers. However, most games do allow cast interruptions if a mage is hit with an attack that may either slow down their casting speed or disrupt it altogether. Mages have many sub-classes and evolutions, including warlocks, sages, taoist, and summoners.

Combat:
Mages are usually the only class that uses magic for attack purposes, while other magic users, such as a priest, use their skills for healing and/or support. Mages typically have both very low physical attack power and physical defense, but may have the highest defense against other magical attacks. Depe

Success Theory v1.0
By: DiscoNeo in defaultposted at 7:12 pm May 12,2008 - 1
Anyway, did simple math and stuff ~
I wa thinking about interest with banks and other stuff and thought on it. Most banks are around 4% interest here, dunno about anywhere else.[ALso this will be talking about Dollars $$$$, not Euros, Pounds...?] THen i got to thinking, "Would it be nice to live off of interest?". The obvious answer is yes. I was thinking that 2million dollars would make the cut, and it definately does. By more then enough. Me and my teacher added up her household expenses for bills and etc. ~
Her household bill was like $23,500. Her house is like 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, and two floors and basement. Keep in mind this DOES NOT INCLUDE LUXERY AND FOOD EXPENSE :3 [actually it includes phone, cell phones, cable, and internet :3] Her daughters household [She's twenty and Momma helps her alot :3] came to about $16,000. Its a 3 bedroom house, one bathroom, and a half-sized second floor. Lookjs kind of weird, kinna like just half of the house has a second floor; and its 3

Job Advancement (Good or Bad?)
By: finaldestinz in defaultposted at 10:25 am Apr 07,2008Tags: job advancements good bad
- 0
Playing MMORPG is fun, but for some players the reason they play that particular game is because of the job advancements themselves. And at time, I believed that a number of players drop out from some particular game is also because of the job advancements as well.
So in other words, are job advancements good or bad? Or are they the reasons for the increase of "crime" on MMORPGs?
The answer to these questions above are still unable to be defined, as no matter how much we argued about this topic, this will never end. Instead, it will lead and branched out to many other different topics. But for what I wanted to bring out for this topic is only the question alone. I have placed a survey and taken down several reasons what players think about job advancements.
Why is it good?
- Adds to the interesting part of the game
- It gives a reason why players continue to play that certain game
- Challenging as the game goes on
- Some skills are OWNING!
- With the advancements, MVP are totally nothing
- PvP, Guild wars are something for all to attend and to take part
- Some skills are visually stunning, and for some the graphics are way beyond words
- Branching out for some professions (Examples
