The story of why I'm on MMOsite.

If I recall correctly i joined MMOsite so i could get some free booster time on Global Agenda, the booster helped speed my recon to level 30 before it expired. now on Global Agenda I am with out an agency and I seek to join a new one. Sadly I'm not often on Global Agenda anymore but When I am on I tend to PVP most of the time and I have quite a bit of skill doing so and would like to see these skills put to use in AvA combat. Furthermore on GA i have my crafting skills on the rise for AvA and other such useful things I hope i will find a clan to join who does not mind i am a casual GA player, if I am called online for practice or for some PvP I will join in if I'm not busy in my real life.

  My motivation in starting this blog is to give my view on online gaming and how different people approach it. This first post will inlcude a little history in my gaming experience. I have played quite a range of different game across all styles from the basic flash games of independent developers to the top rated games from the like of CCP, Blizzard and EA Games. I have played quite a few different MMORPGs both client based and browser based but I find myself returning to some of the same ones over and over but ill cover each of them in more detail later.

I entered the gaming world through the Nintendo 64 of my friend across the street. We would play games such as Golden Eye at this time I really did not enjoy gaming because he was much better than me due to the extra time he spent playing.

As of late, a lot of games have decided to implement a fatigue system. However, they like to call it stamina because it sounds better and act like it provides benefits. Most of the time, it is not stamina but rather a fatigue system. They are quite different but one is clearly meant to be something to benefit the players while others are clearly done to limit the progress of players. Just pay close attention to it and see which category it falls into.

Stamina (the Good):

Stamina is something that is used to help players who do not play as long as everyone else. It typically provides an exp boost based on how long they were offline for. The purpose of this is to ensure that they have a chance to compete against others by making it easier to level at least a bit. In the long run, it keeps the casual gamers around longer because they can keep up with the grinders. Although they tend to fall behind, its usually enough to stop them from just quitting the game. Well, hopefully, somebodies out there on the great series of tubes called the Internet has found this blog, and will instantly be amazed at all the wonderful posts that will hopefully eventually call this place home.  If you just stumbled upon my blog, feel free to add and check back from time to time, as I hope to write about interesting topics from a unique point of view as a game designer in training.

First things first, name is James Thompson, and in the online world, I tend to go by the names of Gideon or Garrett Skye, although in a few games I've been known to use others as well.  I got my initial start in MMORPG's with the grand-daddy of them all, Ultima Online.  With me and my friends being huge Ultima Fanatics, we all were keen to roam the world of Britannia and create our own stories.  But we were disillusioned quickly by the horrible lag of the early days, and how being in a city for us was practically impossible.  We quit that game very quickly, and longed for something else.

A little about myself?  Well, I'm a girl gamer, which is something that I find tends to be rare or girls just don't like talking about it.  I'm very enthusiastic about my games.  XD  I'm also a tomboy.  I can hang out and be just one of the guys, one of the things my bf loves about me.  <3

I've listed my mains on my Profile section, though for most games I like to create alts so that I can get a feel for things and find what I like.  My very first MMO was WoW, which my bf bought for me last December so that I could get on with my best friend who lives across state.  ^_^

Greetings MMOSite.  First, allow me to introduce myself.

I am Brice Lucas and I am a developer for Possibility Space.  Our current project is "Warrior Epic".  My role within Possibility Space consists of a multitude of things... but primarily, I solve problems.

I am always open to meeting new people and love interacting with our game community both in the forums and within the Warrior Epic Closed Beta.  The direction of our game is exciting to me (especially with the new combat system) and I am confident that when we finish... Warrior Epic will be an amazing F2P title that a lot of people will play.
