Its another Thurstday. And a hot one too. Weather finaly calmed down, and now its sweaty 30 degress.
I spent last evening and most of the night playing Starcraft 2 Beta with my friends, in 1vs1, 2vs2 and 3vs3 setups. Surprisingly low rate of drops from the game. Blizzard is working their magic in polishing the game. Its just one more month intil release of the first part from the SC2 trilogy.
I decided not to attend Advanced base wars in Air Rivals last night in favor of SC2 beta, since those base wars became stacking fest in this MMO Aerial shooter. Its now exactly three months since I started playing Air Rivals, and I must say I am fairly addicted to this game. I was stalling the start of playing this game for almost a year, and then some online friends told me alot of good things about th

Popular games that really shouldnt be popular
By: Katsuo in defaultposted at 5:20 pm Mar 13,2009 - 0
Ok, I got 3 commments (only 3?? including 1 of my own!!) on another blog. But I suppose if I actually want my blog to get Popular, I have to post more stuff...So, as my official second blog, Im doing my first official video game review! The first thing Ill say about my life about an MMO and possibly all around video games:
I , Takeshi (online alias only...) refuse to review a game without experiencing all special features mentioned by fans and developers, and will get to atleast half the max level before reviewing!
However... There are some...exceptions. The games are so horrid, so awful and so freaking popular, that I refuse to acknoledge them with a non-baised review. So here are the games a refuse to review or get passed 50% of.
#1 on the list RUNE SCAPE
This game might be good, fans of the game might disagree with me , but when I talk to Rune scape fans all I hear is "No no, you dont understand, this is free and its online and you can play with abunch of other people and, and, and..." All the features I hear are standard for any MMO but the graphics are awful. People that play Rune Scape seem to deny that there are othe

MMORPG Reviewer

Once you’ve played a few MMORPGs, you’ve pretty much played them all. I’m not going to rant about all MMO games being clones of each other again, but I’d love to see an MMORPG do something revolutionary. Just a heads up, revolutionary doesn’t have to mean good. Even if a game with unique game play is terribly broken I would still give the game some credit for doing something out of the norm. With game companies churning out new titles each week, it’s getting difficult to review games, as nearly every game I review feels too much like another game I’ve already looked at. Don’t get me wrong, I love playing MMORPGs, but it’d be nice to have a bit of variety every now and then.
To be fair, the last few games I’ve looked at were pretty unique. S4 League was a blast to play, as it offered an alternative to the only other fast paced anime shooter, GunZ the Duel. Although S4 League didn’t exactly revolutionize it’s genre [Shooters], it did add variety to the genre. There really aren’t a lot of anime inspired shooting MMOs out there, so it made sense for Alaplayer to publish the game. Outspark als
