Cabal Online, the MMO developed by ESTsoft, is preparing for it's most awaited expansion since the game's launch, way back in 2005.

For those that have tried Cabal Online and got to at least level 50, and achieved the second battle mode - Battle Mode 2 - which is the game's most "distinctive" feature, you might guess the next addiion by the update's title.

As for those that haven't tried the game,  Cabal Online has a feature called "Battle Mode" in which, for 80 seconds, the players stats are increased depending on his class.

While on the first battle mode (Battle Mode 1) all classes would only get increased stats ( attack, defence, attack rate, critical damage and critical rate) on the second one, Battle Mode 2, the user's weapon changes into a weap

Today the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament starts in South Africa. 32 countries will battle it out for the top prize in international football, with only one nation able to reign supreme in the final match on July 11th.

This month CABAL is joining in with the World Cup Fever, giving players the chance to get involved with new costumes, promotions and competitions.

This is a brand new blog, created in cooperation with MMOSite. To start out I think I should introduce myself, and this blog. I'm known as Viral, or [GM]Viral, and I'm one of the people testing new game content for the free-to-play MMO Cabal Online. If you are not yet familiar with Cabal head over to www.cabalonline.com and have a look around - Cabal is one of the most dynamic games in the MMO genre, in part because of the fantastic combat system, but also because of the constant content updates we receive from the developers. Cabal is also completely free to play, so there is really no good reason to not download the client to give it a try.

Before we start it is worth giving a brief description of some of the terminology that is used and unique to Cabal Online.

1. Combo - the combat in Cabal is based on creating combos. This is just a way to cast skills quicker than otherwise possible, and to create a continuous chain of attacks that will never miss.
2. Ability Points, or AP - Ability Points were introduced with the previous patch. This is a system where you earn AP with your normal exp (if you are above a certain level) and AP allows you to equip Essence Runes on your

I randomly recorded the GvG from yesterday.

It was my guild, EpsiLon vs DEMIGODS.

EpsiLon is pretty much the #1 Capella guild on the server now.

I wasnt in it because...

I logged into the ventrilo and check the situation with guildmates before I go do my laundry.

1 of guildie, AlphaFB told me about DEMIGODS wants to GvG.

So I logged on..made some arrangement with DEMIGODS...Give Alpha the guild leadership..left to do my laundry.

I got back and caught the ending of the GvG.

It was 6 vs 6

There are a lot of MMO players out there, obviously...who know the basics of gaming in one...to lvl up, quest, grind, make a build, etc.

But what if you want to invite someone who has no expereience in MMO playing? How many MMOs out there appeal to both experienced and non-expereienced players? I have a friend who always ask me what to do whenever I invited him to an mmo. And he only played cuz the trailer looked awesome (Cabal.)

So what I'm saying is this...if MMOs can live up to what they show players, can they also show up to a completely noob player as well, without completely making him/her feel dumb while in the game?
