Square Enix has finally released news that the Alpha testing e-mails have been sent out, but are currently sending them out in Japan first.

"We have recently begun sending notification e-mails to players accepted as alpha testers for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Aeria Games has announced that they will be holding a limited alpha test of Lime Oddessy. Now, here is the kicker, you can take a survey to see if you will be selected to take part. Remember this is an ALPHA test. Not a cbt or obt where you will see leagues of players and just mess around in game. This is an alpha test in order to help them work out more of the kinks and test things out before it reaches beta.

If you never heard of Lime Odyssey, it is a 3D with more cartoony/anime feel mmorpg. The game features three player races to choose from, four classes in which to define your character, diverse professions in which you can be anything from a master chef to a tailor, and it has been hailed as the spiritual successor to Ragnarok Online.

Shanda Games (China) has announced that they are prepared to begin alpha testing for Legend of Immortal in October 28.

Legend of Immortal is an adaptation from contemporary fantasy novel.  Legend of Immortal  brings you into a mysterious but especially penny magic world of self-cultivation. By adapting Gamebryo engine, this game delivers quality console visual effect and non-lag battle action.  The game story is based Chinese Mythology, but expand from Human being world to Haven Paradise to the mortal world.

Legend of Immortal is currently being developed. The game entered first-round technical testing on July 16.

 

 

I have to admit that there are times when I should be working, and I instead find myself wasting hours away playing games. We all do this to some extent, as it is the nature of the beast that is the gamer. We can be the ultimate procrastinators, "Just one more level and I will study/sleep/go to work!"  Browser based games do not help this situation out at all. Easy to play, no install needed, and can be played anywhere you have an internet connection.

  At first glance Rival Saga was just this, another browser based game to entice me away from my "to-do" list for the day. Being an avid player of Adventurequest and Mechquest, I thought I would apply for the Alpha test and see how this game panned out so far. I am glad I did, as my initial opinion about Rival Saga was changed as soon as I logged in and started playing.

 

This was the screen that greeted me on login. The animation was good, and the rendering and art was as expected, well done and basic. It was a little less cartoony than other games, and this was a bit refreshing.  NPCs have the yellow exclamation mark above their heads, and the UI should not be a problem for anyone to figure out

Fallen Earth, a post-apocalyptic MMOG in development using the Icarus Studios Tools Suite platform, today announced it has reached the Alpha milestone and is now “Feature Complete.”

 Over the past six months, the Fallen Earth team has implemented new production processes which has allowed for improved product quality and a streamlined development schedule.

Colin Dwan, who was promoted from Lead Engineer to Project Manager, said, “Fallen Earth has great technology and tons of content, but we needed to put a stake in the ground about all the features that were absolutely necessary to ship with. Now that we’ve finalized that long list, we’ve been able to spend all of our time making those features really fun.”

From these screens, while out of the compete of fighting, the character turns to cartoon form and there seems to be some interesting community campaigns. The emotion of the characters are so cute~~ I like it~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
