TSW Flame Away Flamethrower

TSW Flame Away is a side mission you’ll find in Kingsmouth Town while exploring the area. The starting location is actually a table where you’ll find a flame thrower sitting disassembled. This is a very simple, fast mission to play through and worth doing for the XP and some Pax Romana. Below you’ll find our full walkthrough of Flame Away broken down into each tier.

Tier 1

As mentioned, you’ll discover a disassembled flamethrower lying on a table in a somewhat random camp area of Kingsmouth Town. You’ll find the character, Danny standing near the table. The flamethrower will be highlighted in yellow for you. If you have trouble finding it simply take a walk around the area near the coordinates of 420, 660 and you’ll eventually happen upon it. To get the quest going you’ll need to pick up t

TSW Men in Black Vans Occult Attractor

Men in Black Vans TSW is a investigation type mission that you’ll get in The Secret World while playing in Kingsmouth Town. It’s given by Danny Dufresne in the skate park. This is a fairly simple mission with only 4 tiers but there are quite a few little, important steps that some people have been confused about. Below is our full walkthrough for Men in Black Vans of all tiers.

Tier 1

Investigate the Black Van

The first step of this mission is actually finding the black van. It’s located just off the road where your map marker is pointing to. The only thing you have to do during this tier is actually find and walk up to the van. Head to the back of the van and you’ll get the next mission update.

Tier 2

Log In to the Laptop

The laptop is located in the back of the black van. It’s sit

The Secret World - Dark Days Are Coming

As with any MMORPG one of the most important aspects of a game is constructing a powerful build to help you progress quickly. With The Secret World being a bit odd and not having a class system or leveling system it can be tricky figuring out how to make a proper build without guidance. So we’re starting up a series of articles on how to make TSW builds. This one explains how to create high DPS builds in a snap.

Tips for Getting High Damage

A high DPS build is essential for soloing on any MMO. Not to mention, if used properly, they can be highly dangerous in PvP matches. In TSW they are also exceptionally useful for going through dungeons and taking on bosses or larger enemies. Some of the best things to incorporate into your build to ensure high DPS include:

Hey peeps, another early investigation mission in The Secret World, this one goes by the name of 'The Kingsmouth Code'. It should be easy unless you screw something up, I explain below what I mean... As usual is a small step by step guide...

'Go To' the church and talk to the priest.

Take the mission.

'Walk' to the front of the church and 'Use' the sewer cover.

You will need the 3 words below at some point.

'Go To' the pier in Fletcher Bay and 'Use' the Illuminati symbol.

'Go To' The Townhall and 'Use' the painting you see in the picture below.

Warning!!!!

If you mess with the wrong picture you will have to waste some time by traveling into unnecessary places...

'Pam & Clam' and the 'Fire Department'

Fire Department

'Go To' the backyard of the priest house (not the church) and 'Use' the keypad.

Password is: 120

Then get inside the basement.

'Use' the computer in the basement.

The password is lux omnia vincit

'Open up' the vault and retrieve the Illuminati trea

The Secret World - First Impressions...

The Secret World was released like a week ago and all the fuzz and talk about the game got my attention, so I bought the game like 2 days ago and after playing the game for 12 hours straight I have to say one thing... OH SNAP!!!! I am probably having more fun in this game than in a whole year of playing other mmos.

All I know about the game is the usual thing, the graphics look cool (if you got the hardware... DX11 and Tessellation FTW), the game is not vibrant and colorful as hell, after all TSW is about modern times with a strange twist on it, the desaturated colors and the general feeling of distress feels kinda cool, or maybe I am just tire of playing colorful games...

There is no traditional levels, its in modern times, there is no invisible walls and there is BODY BLOCK!!!!! I have to be honest I love the feature, now I can run away and actually get away from some pestering player in PvP...

I dont know about you guys but for me it is so annoying when I want to run away and th

TSW Dungeon Guide: Darkness War

Hey everyone, the Darkness War is a dungeon located in Blue Mountains. This dungeon will require at least QL5 gear, especially on tanks and healers. There isn’t a lot of strict DPS checks like the last dungeon (except the last boss) but the tank damage is absolutely insane on some of the bosses here.

The quest for the dungeon can be picked up from Old Joseph on the NW side of the map.

For healers, make sure you picked up some Blood magic healing abilities, the shield they provide come super handy in here. The ones I run with are Ruby Curtain for spamming to build up resources, Angelic Aegis, and Scarlet Arts. The two must have passives I run for these blood shields are Coagulation (+25% barrier effects) an Angel’s Touch (heal for an addition x amount if target is below 50%).

Hey everyone, Polaris or Dead in the Water is the first dungeon you will encounter in the Secret World. This dungeon can be accessed by talking to the Orochi group at the north most bridge in Kingsmouth. The quest you get is called Dead in the Water but the actual dungeon itself its called Polaris.

This dungeon drops QL3 blue gear but it is doable in QL2-3 gear.

Haugbui Jarl

First miniboss, has 51k HP. Simple tank and spank fight, just don’t stand in the electrified water (stand on land to fight him). Pretty much boss 101 fight.

Blarbane Sorceress

Another mini boss with 38k HP. She will summon two adds that you should kill ASAP. Call it add management 101.

The Varangian

First real boss in this dungeon and probably the first difficult fight you will face.

Hey everyone, Savage Coast is the next zone after Kingsmouth. It is designed for players with QL3-5 gear. The main feature of this zone is a creepy amusement park, a light house and a school filled with monsters. There are less puzzle quests here in this zone compared to Kingsmouth and some of them are fairly tedious and grindy (i.e. kill x, kill y, kill z)

The Secret World: Innovation in MMO's or Steaming Pile of Disappointment?

The Secret World is on the verge of release, completing another beta this weekend. For those of you who have been playing over the coded beta or pre-ordered closed betas, what do you think so far? Do you find the concept and gameplay to be innovative? The idea that there aren't going to be any levels, you can physically wear whatever you want and the idea is to basically just solve puzzles and shoot zombies? Or do you find the game lacking, due to it's, well, lack of nearly everything traditional in a MMO?

There are definitely some great things about this game. Many people like the idea that there isn't set armor pieces, which will make just about everyone look the same at certain points in the game. There also isn't any 'leveling' in the traditional sense, however, you still have to earn experience and allocate points into a skill tree just the same. It's also going pay-to-play, and while the community here at MMOSite seems to be very divided about pay-to-

3 Factions!!! The way of the future????

I have so much stuff in my mind right now, I can barely concentrate in what I am doing anymore because so much is happening in the mmo industry right now...

Maybe you peeps dont even notice it but it looks like the 3 factions trend is starting to pick up some speed!!!! I dont want to feed the lovers of the 3 factions nor the haters but I do see something very interesting here...

It looks like the old school "3 factions player distribution system" used in DaoC and RF Online is starting to pick up some speed after all the games made using only 2 factions...

I know that the fans of DaoC will say that its way better to have 3 factions than 2 factions because of the balance and the haters are going to point out that 2 vs 1 is not exactly a 3 way battle at all... That is not the point!!!!
