The PVP VS PVE Epidemic Continues in Star Wars: The Old Republic
By: Lushy in Star Wars: The Old Republicposted at 9:46 am Jun 29,2012 - 0
With patch 1.3, Star Wars: The Old Republic finally launched a dungeon finder much to the cheers of most members of the community and the ever vocal, and slightly hostile, minority. On the plus side, those who are interested in the heavy bulk of content that is PVE-related are finally able to go to dungeons, even at early levels on new characters or alts, that most of us haven't even been to before. With a handful of max level characters to my account, even I have only completed about 1/3 of the dungeons that are available, which overall made the game feel a lot smaller to me than what it actually is.
Only recently have I gone through most of the dungeons that I promptly skipped over while level, due to the difficulty, time and effort of pimping myself out on the main fleet when I could have been off actually leveling. Now, with the dungeon finder in place, I'm gathering gear, experience and practice in playing my class properly.
Unfortunately, as it is with mo

"Get a Life" Coca Cola and Icecream Rolls

I have a question for you all out there; what does "Get a life" personally mean to you? To some, it's stop playing the game so much and go outside, to others it's a shallow insult when there's nothing else to say.
To me, it's an attack at people that take games too seriously.
"A game is structured playing, usually undertaken for enjoyment and sometimes used as an educational tool." Ref: Wikipedia. You know what annoys me, people who are sad enough to critisize a game, on its graphics, gameplay, mechanics, storyline amongst other things... People it's a fucking game, if you don't like it, fuck off to another one, don't spend pointless hours whining like some bitch who didn't get paid for the two hour session with a random lonely male, which may as well be yourself. Sneak Peak and Cheating

So! I finally release a little segment of my soon to be coming PvP Video, okay, it probably wasn't something you were expecting, but it's a downsight more enjoyable than chasing people :P.
BioWare has performed a massive ban, banning people for;
Speed Hacking
Credit Duplicating
No Clipping
Amongst less serious stuff, exploiting bugs for instance. Before now it's seemed as though cheating was allowed, as bioware never disciplined it, how ever, after today, there is definatly a tough stance, I believe people recieved a 168 hour ban (1week).
I was happy with my 24 hour ban for a homophobic comment, fuck knows what I'd do with 168 hours of my time, I'd work it but my place of work just doesn't have the budget to fund people who get banned from MMOs, let alone people off sick.
I heard some people made 1B+ credits from doing the credit duplicating, and although that is getting removed from their account, they keep items/crew skills/inventory slots purchased with that money, whi

Missing the Community Feel?

One thing that differs a lot from when I played SWG was the community feel. Often in SWG you'd see someone you knew, and end up chatting for hours! Or was that just me?
Things are looking up for SWTOR though, as people are becoming to get to know one another, numerous names keep popping up and more recently I've been stopped by familiar faces for a little catch up, pointless banter and perhaps some flirting (haha).
People assume it's the game developers that causes communities to come together with content, but in experience, the community made its self, and worked around content.
For instance; datacrons, I've had endless fun with these, trying to help friends get to them, I love the difficult/long ones like the Jawa balloon, Me, my brother and our two friends, and two randoms got

SWTOR - Patch 1.1.4 - The FixFest???
By: Pelagato in Star Wars: The Old Republicposted at 8:57 am Feb 22,2012 - 1

Hey peeps, today bioware released a new patch (1.1.4) after they finish all their weekly server maintenance chores... This new patch is probably going to be named "Star Wars: Fix-Fest - Episode 1"... Why?
Because 'bio' fixed a lot of things in the game, but at the same time they left a bunch of other issues in the game for later episodes... I mean patches lol!... The thing is that the patch looks like a nice candy but at the same time there is something hideous behind it.
The first thing I notice is that they keep trying to fix the cool down interface... People keep complaining about it and now Bioware is going to let players decide in the options what kind of visual clue they want for their cool downs, I don't really think that it is a big deal for me but I cant denied that some p

SWTOR - PvP Endgame, Ilum... A total mess!!!! - Rant

Hey guys I am going to be very honest and direct as possible... ok... A few days ago I reached level 50 or max level. Since I am such a PvPer, I obviously look for some pvp action, so... I found Ilum, the PvP planet in SWTOR. Unfortunately this place is a total mess, everything here feels like a massive screw up!
The place is so friggin flawed and full of problems, sometimes I wonder what exactly is Bioware doing...!!!!! I mean What were they thinking????
Here is a list of the problems in Ilum... At least some of them...
1. Population Imbalance... 3 vs 1.... For every 3 imps player, we only have 1 republic player around... Be creative and imagine what is going to happen... Republic peeps get facerolled and imp players are bored because there is almost no one to kill or little challenge...
2. Performance Problems... Even a good computer will lag the hell out of this in low graphics settings, just like Aion, crappy engine, poor optimizations, coding... etc....
3. PvP gear.... Battl

How to power Leveling your character fast in the star wars the old republic(swtor)?

It seems like that the SWTOR can not escape the destiny of comparison between itself and the WOW.But i want to tell you that, the Star Wars the Old Republic is a story driven and the voice of the character is handsome.Ok,let's come down to the business as how to level up your character safe and fast?
First, you should try the space missions. When you run with the daily quests, the space missions give huge amounts of experience in a little bit of time.
Second, the winning of the Warzone matches will do the same. And they also come with daily quests you can find on the PVP quest terminal on your faction's fleet.
Third, you can hire some professionals to do it for you.But of course you need to spend money for it.And if it is not the right one, your account would be stolen.i Would recommend one for you the www.swtorcreditus.com .
Keep one thing in mind that do a lot of side quests, since you won't regret it when you don't get brick walled in your class story line.
If you find out the ma

The Old Republic.... The Banhammer and exploiters... (Illum)
By: Pelagato in Star Wars: The Old Republicposted at 3:18 pm Jan 07,2012Tags: SWTOR Exploiters Illum banned metrics
- 0

Hey guys, a few days ago Bioware released some news about the massive banfest that is taking place against some exploiters and gold farmers that only seek to break the stability of the game economy and at the same time they want to ruin our gaming experience.
Some people is saying that Bioware will ban anyone that isnt max level and dare to show up in Illum, that is a bunch of crap made by a bunch of people that is mad because they did something worst and got ban because of that and now they want to make Bioware look like a douche company... (Episode 7: Revenge of the Exploiters)...
Bioware told the community that the general issue is that some players are looting like no friggin tomorrow all the crates and then selling all the credits in one of those RMT schemes.
The problem is

The Old Republic… First Impressions…
By: Pelagato in Star Wars: The Old Republicposted at 11:57 am Jan 03,2012Tags: SWTOR TOR The Old Republic First Impressions Good game

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a cool and entertaining game, the game follows the standard mmo formula, so don’t expect a game like Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy in a massive environment, nor a sandbox...
I am going to be honest guys, I never hyped this game, sometimes I even wondered why people used to be so rev up about this game, but I was in the shopping mall today doing nothing and then I saw the box and I randomly pick it up… I dunno why… Probably the power of the Force…
Anyway the thing is that right now I am playing TOR and so far it looks so good…
I know the art style is kinda goofy and is not my favorite one but I cant denied that they look great and keeps the atmosphere of the game alive… OH!!! The animations…! I swear to god that this game probably have one of the best

Now im going through and basically going piece by piece through SWTOR because of the fact the game is a huge blockbuster MMORPG that many are curious to see EVERY bit of detail possible with it before they make their sale.
