Perfect World  is heavily based on Chinese mythology, and is set in the mythical world of Pangu. The simulated day and night, and flight is a key component in exploring the game world.

I have a lvl48 character on perfect world that that says PW is nothing like wow... not even close! This is in response to the crackhead that called PW a WoW clone.

 

I would like to ask, In what way?

 

Secondly, Perfect World has been around since 2005, were it was originally released in China,  the development having started in 2004!

Please provide a real basis on your accusations to any mmo and proof that you have any experience in the field whatsoever, and that you have at least played any of these games past lvl20....

Seriously, the majority of numbskulls that were introduced to MMO's primarily through WoW have a repitive pattern of being ignorant and assumptive of MMORPGs that they have NO or very little information about!

 Addtionally, you get the typical WoW community judging games that have also not even been released yet. Its a disease that plagues the MMO community.

 WoW players are just gamers, and from my experience, they are also agnostic and arrogant by a large percentage, and often consider WoW to be God, or original!

 Those who were introduced into MMORPGs in the era of EQ1, Ultima, or have had the patience to lvl past 90 in Korean meat grind

You will only find unfriendly players who goes around playing the name calling game: people calling those who plays at Pve servers carebears is no different from calling newbies noobs- which makes no sense at all because everyone is newbie before. Calling players who just pefer a different type of gameplay carebears are just what narrow minded people do. You will find all the narrow minded people playing in this game. If you like a community with no control of all the insults & disrespectfulness towards others, then this game suits you best. No one can have the right to speak about their own views about the game because all you get will be just name calling carebears, intrawebs etc & replies asking you to shut up and go to one side and cry & stop posting.

The community is just so unconsiderate & selfish with everyone using valgoirty towards you if you make any viewpoints. The fact that some people just likes to insult others & cries to stop people from posting without knowing anyone have their right to make their viewpoints is a total disgrace.

Again I urgue people to reconsider playing the game by looking at the game's offical forum.

MMORPGs today lack any sense of role playing and story. I remember when I first started playing Everquest, I felt as if I was thrown into an actual world, as NPCs actually interacted with you. I remember when I walked down the streets of Qeynos, a town in EverQuest, one day I heard two guards discussing the politics of the town, and I heard another guard arguing with another NPC. If you walked around town long enough you would learn a lot about what was going on in the town, in terms of story which was actually really interesting.

One particular quest I remember doing was trying to eliminate the corrupt guards in Qeynos. The quest was assigned by one of the guard captains who knew there was corruption amongst the ranks of the guards and would reward you for finding and killing the guards that were corrupt. Players could identify corrupt guards by right clicking a random guard and checking your particular standing with that guard’s faction. Corrupt guards would view you “Dubiously” while regular guards would look at you “indifferently or amiably”. Finding low ranking corrupt guards and killing them was easy, but every time you killed a corrupt guard your

   Skills are obtained each level from a skill master and cost a certain amount of gold and Skill Points, like wise new items and armor can be brought from various NPC characters or from the numerous player stalls, in PW a player can gain special skills in one of 3 professions (blacksmith, armor, pharmacy) using these skill the player can make better weapons, items and HP/MP pots to use or to sell, they do this from collecting materials that drop from monsters and making items they need. Because of this the game is not flooded with huge amounts of money and as such all items that you wish or want to buy are affordable and one can easily obtain huge amounts of gold.
