What If There Was A Portal MMO?
By: MapleTire in defaultposted at 1:24 pm Apr 20,2011 - 0

Portal 2 has finally been released.. With a growing amount of excellent reviews, Portal returns into gaming scene with their debut onto the PS3 and 360 consoles, to show off what players can do with their portal guns.
However could the successful launch and popuarlity already gathered from the first game alongside the newly release sequel, go to see itself as an MMO at any time?
A South Korean company has already thought about this and have taken this simple idea of creating portals to add it in a online game. Titled 'Gate', this south korean online game takes what Portal has done in the first game onto the online scene, while others are calling it a 'Portal Rip Off'.
Gate: Portal Online or Portal Rip off?
While Portal 2 seems to have greatly expand on the concept, allowing players

World Of Tanks Interview
By: ecolo in World of Tanksposted at 11:26 am Nov 18,2010 - 0
I post here an interview made by Monde Mmo recently (October 31) with WarGaming.net:
1) Actually the game is in closed beta in Europe, have you news about the future launch of open beta?
The World of Tanks open beta will be launched in the middle of November when the European servers are back. We can’t start the open beta till we are absolutely sure that it provides nice and smooth gaming experience to our European players. Moreover, it gives us some additional time to prepare some new cool features, which will include American Tanks, all-new maps providing even more fun and diversifying the gameplay.
2) For this closed beta, how do react the community?
Generally, we receive extremely positive feedback on the World of Tanks closed beta. There are still some complaints on the matchmaking system but I believe they will cease gradually. We are working on the balance temporarily and we’ll keep on adjusting it during all the development stages of World of Tanks. Matchmaking

‘Pirates of the Burning Sea’ developer adding casual MMO division
By: lordaltay in defaultposted at 6:05 am Feb 03,2009 - 0
“Pirates of the Burning Sea” suffered from many glitches and bugs when it was first released in late January of 2008, but most were fixed in a later patch. By then the damage had already been done, and in April, developer Flying Lab Software shuttered seven of the game’s servers.
No doubt noticing the boom in the casual MMO gamespace, Flying Lab is now launching an entirely new division appropriately named Flying Lab Casual. Russell Williams, the company CEO, said the new division will give both Flying Lab and their partners “the ability to take our vast online experience and apply it to other arenas, in this case a more family-friendly environment.” He added, “This new division not only expands our company and its audience reach, but also gives our developers a chance to work on new genres and different types of games.”
The team’s first project is a family-friendly universe built in partnership with sports trading cards collectibles company, Upper Deck.
According to Williams’ further explanation in a follow-up email, the game will utilize microtransactions as well as subscriptions, and is based off of the Asian MMO model. “O

Why 2moons pwns all other games
By: teh_lonely_mmo_dude in 2Moonsposted at 9:16 pm Oct 20,2008 - 0
I read some other articles and see scores of 5/10 by an obviously OBLIVIOUS idiot (hint, hint, most viewed ^^) and i feel sick watching this amazing game get raped. What does need to be said is how positive it is, because the ones who read and write this ARE 2moons LOVERS.
Now.... to the game.
Bear in mind you NEVER compare MMO's to other games, and in that sense the graphics in 2moons are definitely a BIG step above that of major titles in the same market (WoW, Cabal, Perfect World, all the aeria games) dont get me wrong all good games but 2moons bears a DISTINCT difference to any mmo out there.
A straight forward Hack n Slash with gorgeous eye popping skills, yet that has the smoothness that relates to single player RPG's.
People complain "Oh but no character customisation", yet having played MANY mmo's even those of incredible focus on character creation, i found myself never zooming in at my characters face for any reason. never found myself comparing my face to someone elses, only my weapon, my skills (power and coolness level ^^) and armour.
So in a game where huge AOE skills fly around and there can be so much carnage

The DC Universe going MMO?
By: Lushy in All gamesposted at 7:03 am Jul 16,2008Tags: DC Universe Online MMO Are they nuts?
- 1
What exactly does this mean?
Judging from the concept art and trailers from on Gametrailers.com, you can create a character and explore various places known in the DC universe such as Gotham or Metropolis. You will meet and interact with famous heroes and villains such as Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn, the Joker, Flash, Poison Ivy, Huntress, and others. From what I understand, you chose the side of villain or hero, fighting along side the notorious criminals or heroes. The concept artist is the infamous Jim Lee, who also does various cover art for World of Warcraft.

Through the trailers don’t give away too much, the environment seems quasi-interactive and there seems to be some amounts of PVP due to the hero/villain issues. Still, not much is revealed. Sony Online Entertainment’s other works can be seen in Everquest 1 and 2, Star Wars Galaxies, and the Matrix Online. Game trailers for this found at www.gametrailers.com/player/36413.html

[GUIDE] 2MOONS PET SYSTEM
By: buddj1 in 2Moonsposted at 9:52 am Mar 22,2008 - 2
PET SYSTEM GUIDE

What is the Pet System?
People love pets, and so will your warrior. They can accompany on your explorations
of each region of the Land of Haran. You can obtain one of several pet eggs from the
2Moons shop. Once a pet is hatched from an egg, it will be your companion for 30
days. At the end of that 30 day period, the pet will return to its egg to sleep. When the
pet is sleeping, it will not appear in the world with you. However, you can revive your
pet by using an Awakening Ocarina item (available from the 2Moons Shop) to wake it
up. You can use the Awakening Ocarina to revive your pet every 30 days.
How to Activate Your Pet

STEP 1.
Open your Inventory window and right-click to awaken a purchased pet from its egg.

STEP 2.
The awakened pet will now display in your inventory as a Pet Token, which can be placed in one of accessory slots (as shown above). You will be able to summon the pet into the world with your character as long as it is awake and the Pet Token is placed in an accessory slot. The Pet Icon at the bottom-right of the screen will also display that the pet is active.

STEP 3.
(1) To summon the pet, click on the Pet Icon
