Warframe Impressions: I thought Tenno meant emperor!

Today I'm going to share a bit of the impact that Warframe has left on me. Before I begin a little history as usual. The company that made Warframe is Digital Extremes. You might have heard of them from BioShock, BioShock2 HomeFront Unreal Tournament 2004 and the like. They've been developing games since the 90s. Pretty extreme.
Do note that this game is in very early beta stages and has further adjustments and content that is coming for now this isn't the whole picture or even a fraction of the picture.Warframe is a third person shooter where you play as a Tenno. An ancient race that is capable of utilizing both swords and melee weapons along with guns masterfully to somehow conquer the universe or something along those lines. These Tenno were put to sleep and in the cryogenic state a

Guild Wars 2: The Begining of an End

Hey all, finally after a few weeks of being away from mmosite.com blogging, I took the time to play GW2 final release. There are some things I wanted to talk about, some things I wanted to scream about, and some things that... well... Just irritate me.
I started out playing GW2 on the 3 day head start, and I absolutely could NOT wait to play this game. But after rushing to 80, my fears have come true. I remember when playing EQ2 it took me literally 4 years to finally get 2 of my characters to level cap (procrastinating, a lot of grinding, etc). But upon jumping in to GW2, I never thought in my wildest dreams I would hit max level (80) in less than a week. Now, for anyone who thinks that is AMAZING, then let me inform you: Do not rush this game. Take the time to do everything that you need to do in it to keep your character's progress top notch. I started out basically doing all the events and hearts (Public quests)

C9 - Shaman:Reaperess - Incredibly Fast; Death comes quickly

C9's Reaperess is a new class that just came with the 4th Continent Okapia
I leveled my Elite Shaman like hell to get to level 48 and stopped there awaiting for about 2 months for this content and update of the class.
I was excited to play it when I finally found some free time between all the schooling and homework I finally found some down time today to write about something finally zz. I write for fun and to share my experiences with you, the fellow gamer or reader, whichever.
I also have an Illusionist and a Berserker as well before I stopped to go try other games(GW2, KnightAge).
I found the learning curve to be fairly easy since it took me about an hour to grasp the handle on this new class(But then again every game I play I set the difficulty on hardest to begin with... so that's kind of biased coming off me...). It's very intense, and the amount of input was quite a long string of commands.
To start off I prefer to lead in my attacks with this one s

An Impression of Guild Wars 2

Hey all! LD50Lulz here, and I just wanted to type up a nice little GW2 blog. I have played all the betas and enjoyed every second I was in game. I think this game is amazing, and yes, I'm sure a lot of "trolls" and non-Guild Wars players are flaming this game, but let me give you some insight from a avid MMO player. I have been playing MMOs for since I was 12. I have played everything from WoW, EQ2, Warhammer, Vanguard, SWTOR, Rift, DC Universe, Champions Online, City of Heroes, and more. Now, EQ2 I have logged 4 years and I loved it. I have a 90 Berserker, 90 Templar, and a 90 Shadowknight. I love the classes in EQ2, I enjoyed every dungeon and raid I ever ran in that game. But repetitive grinding became an issue after completing the leveling of 3 characters. But, EQ2 offered some cool aspects, such as skill trees.
Now, for most gamers, skill trees are not really a unique aspect to any game, as they have been around for years. But, EQ2, Warhammer, WoW, and Rift off

My Impressions of The Secret World
By: Doc Awesome in The Secret Worldposted at 4:39 pm Jul 16,2012Tags: The Secret World TSW Review Impressions

When discussing The Secret World, one must understand that everything in the game from crafting, dungeons, even building your character’s power deck, is designed around the idea of solving puzzles. It’s a clearly defined niche title that will not appeal to everyone yet has a unique soul all its own in a market dominated by generic fantasy titles.
The PVE missions (quests) are the best designed and presented of any game in the MMORPG genre so far as of 2012. There are good scenes and character dialogue. Some one deserves an award for them. The catch is that, outside of dungeons, most game missions are designed for solo play and make teaming very difficult from objective completion tripping only for one player to solo required instancing. You can replay most quests multiple times and you will need to do so in order to advance. There are very steep difficulty increases from one adventuring zone to the next and you will need to grind quests more than once to top out your gear before movin

Guild Wars 2 – My Press Beta Impressions

Like countless players out there I have been eagerly waiting for the press beta NDA to be lifted to feast my eyes on more Guild Wars 2 Goodness since like so many other I still have to get my hands on the game. Part of me was afraid, so far all the information we got came from developers but now we're going to get some impartial impressions from the various Press beta testers, Will Guild Wars live up to our expectations or will it fail?
From what I seen so far it seems to live up to our expectations quite well. None of the reporters I have seen or read said that they were let down by any part of the game which is good especially since just a few days ago one other game I was also eager to try had such a trashing by multiple reviewers.
But enough with the introductions, There is so much to see I had a hard time to decide what content to experience first. One thing that has me very exited but barely seen anything about was the World Vs World PVP mechanic. I am generally not a PVP per

RIFT beta Impressions
By: Mandifesto in Riftposted at 4:38 pm Jan 05,2011Tags: RIFT close beta RIFT Planes of Telara impressions review

Over the last few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to play what might be the prettiest game I’ve ever seen. RIFT: Planes of Telara will be the first MMO launched by newly formed Trion Worlds when it launches March 1, 2011. There’s a lot to love with this rich, fantasy world, from its state of the art graphics to its clever core mechanics, but all that glitters is not gold.
What I Liked
From top to bottom RIFT plays like a streamlined version of EverQuest II. More than once I found myself saying “this is what EQ2 should have been.” Improving on such a solid game isn’t easy, and few have done it this well. While innovation might not be the watchword of this game, iteration certainly is. The play style, combat visuals, and even the

Vindictus closed beta Impressions

I normally am not the sort of person who likes session-centric gaming. More often than not, my favorite part of playing an MMO is the persistence of the world, feeling like I am living in another time or on another planet. Why is it, then that I'm having so much fun playing Vindictus?
I got the opportunity to play the game briefly during the Closed Beta test that ended August 24th, and I hate to say it, but I had a lot of fun. Could it be that my tastes have changed? Or is it simply that Nexon has provided such a fun experience that I forget that I can't scale the mountains and swim the seas?
Here are my impressions after playing the game during the Closed Beta test. Keep in mind that much of the game is not yet available for test, and th

Requiem First Visual impressions

looks good.

Overview
Requiem: Bloodymare is a massively multiplayer online game for mature audiences that puts you, the player, into a dark, violent and bloodstained world devastated by generations of scientific misuse and magic. Fight for your own survival against the grotesque monsters that stalk the cursed land or band together with fellow survivors to fend off the stronger, bloodthirsty creatures that awaken only at night to prey upon the weak. Use a wide selection of weapons and the mysterious powers of beast possession to viciously slay your enemies with destructive force. Requiem is set in a grim, persistent world combined with violent, blood-spattering action to provide gamers a refreshingly new and innovative approach to online game design.
Game Features
Nightmare Monsters
Even the most experienced of players will cringe when darkness falls in the world of Requiem. The bloodthirsty Nightmare Monsters that appear at night will ravage even the strongest of parties if not well prepared for battle.

Warhammer: Our Bloody, Hands-On Impressions

As you know, your faithful Wandering Goblin staffers spent the weekend in Los Angeles at the E for All gaming expo. While there we got to spend considerable time doing what few others have had the chance to do: we played Warhammer: Age of Reckoning.
WAR is quite possibly the most hotly anticipated MMO on the horizon. Although we've seen and heard a lot of speculation about this game, much of it from the fanbois and fangirls that wait oh-so-patiently (NOT!) for its release, we actually got to experience this game ourselves. We took our time, got bloody and dirty, and explored the game as thoroughly as time would allow.
Like gravity, Warhammer sucked geeks into the EA Mythic booth, never to release them.
Can any game live up to this much hype? Much to our surprise, we found that this one is on track to not only live up to the hype, but might actually exceed it. It's funny, it's ultra-violent, it's over the top. Read more of our impressions right here.
