MMORPGs usually consist of PVE (battle with AI mobs) and PVP (battle with other players). When you enter into battle, which should be the most important factor to consider? Before I start the discussion, let me first define the three factors for clarity.

Gears

Gears are the weapons and equipment that you acquire by buying in auction houses and cash shop, crafting using materials, or looting from monsters and treasure chests. A good example of MMORPG using this model is... well... many point-and-click MMORPGs in which the one with the most upgraded gear wins the battle.

 

Strategy

By strategy, I mean careful planning and doing things in order to win a battle. This means efficient usage of skills, carefully planned moves, anticipation of the enemy's next m

So people who are following have noticed that I have been quite for about a month, it's not that I have fallen off of the face of the earth it's just that i've been looking for something to write about.

 

So a few days back I got the sad notice that I was not accepted into the Forsaken World beta. I was recently just on the website for s/g and I went to my account to redeem a new beta key for FW (shifty character arn't I) and I noticed that it said accepted. Regoice! here in a day or two as long as this isnt a tease you can all expect a video of Forsaken World from me.

 

Note just like with Vindictus it will not be a full review seeing as it is only beta, but im sure people would love to see more than just these pictures they give us.

Yippeee great news everyone. The video game publisher with the worst customer support is Gala-net (makers of Flyff and Rappelz). Compiled by the Better Business Bureau, it was given an rating of 14/70 for seriously ticking off customers.

Some of the most noticable features of their customer support are:

 

- Failing to respond to complaints- Numerous complaints contain serious allegations- Some Grossly Misleading Advertisements - No Refund Under any circumstances including issues that are a direct cause of the Gala-net corporation

 

Pretty shitty stuff eh? Makes you think twice before buyings some gpotato cash  or leaving a pet out and watch the server crash and timeout causing your pet to starve to death.

Well after seeing gameplay videos of tera online and character customization i must say i am very impressed! The game is absolutely stunning and i can't see anything wrong with this game yet, but ofcourse a game always have it's down sides but tera online could be my dream game and many others too. I still have no idea how to put in videos so if you wish to watch gameplay videos just go youtube and search Tera Online and enjoy.

After seeing that this game is hosted by hangame who is also hosting C9 i realise it must be free to play since all games on hangame is free to play and ofcourse C9 isn't that worth paying for since it's not even free open world but instead join a dungeon and when you finish it you get rewards and you're back to town, that's the impression i got from watching a video where i see a group of players going to a gate in town then they choose some dungeon and then they just fight and when done they go back to that town again. Anyways enough about C9. Tera Online will possible be f2p with cash shop, most people say free to play games suck and cash shop ruins it, well that depends since most cash shop makes it way too unfair for other p

It seems like even though a lot of new free MMORPGs and MMOs are being released every month, none of them really feel unique. Except of course for a few exceptions like MLB Dugout Heroes and Dungeon Party there really aren’t any games that are pushing the ‘innovation’ bar up any higher. What I’d like to see developers work on is new ideas rather than just rehashing old ones and releasing them as new games. I mean come on, how many generic fantasy MMORPGs do we need? There have been countless movies and games about a post apocalyptic world but no MMORPGs? What’s up with that?
