Today a boy dies...

GREECE 07-12-08 ~ 10:30 PM
In Athens 7th December of 2008 a 15 year old boy dies from a police officer that shot the little boy in the heart.
In Athens 8th December of 2008 the whole country rebeled and destroyed almost everything. Athens was burned to ashes. Men from anarchy teams smashed every single thing the saw in front of them.
The same day Schools from the whole country again protested in every single Police Station for the death of the little boy.
In this video you'll see two of the Schools which are protesting and smashing the Police Station.
You will see words like A.C.A.B. which means "All Cops Are Bastards". You will hear a chant "Μπατσοι! Γουρουνια! ΔΟΛΟΦΟΝΟΙ!" which means "Cops! Pigs! MURDERERS!".
I do not approve any of the destruction of 3rd person property and I don't join these teams. The following video was captured by me.

Funcom launches virtual item sales in Anarchy Online
By: Brotherbird in defaultposted at 11:57 pm Oct 14,2007 - 0
Durham, USA - October 12, 2007 - Funcom has now launched the virtual item sales in Anarchy Online. In yet another progressive move from Funcom, the players on Rubi-Ka are now able to purchase sets of points which can be used to acquire virtual items inside the game. The first virtual items introduced with the program come packed inside a new mini-expansion. Amongst other things the new pack includes hover-bikes, hover-boards, social clothing, pets and a luxury apartment. Our focus is to ensure that the virtual items do not affect gameplay balance.
The points are available in three different packages which can be purchased for 10, 20 or 40 USD / EUR, where 100 points is the equivalent of 1 USD / EUR. A new hover-board starts as low as 300 points, but the players can also purchase an entire range. As an introductory offer the players can purchase the entire new collection of boards and bikes for 2000 points.
"This kind of system puts the choice in the hands of the players by allowing them to take as little or as much of the new content as they like," said Craig Morrison, Game Director on Anarchy Online. "It really adds an extra dimension to what we can provide in terms of fun social it

A message today from Game Director Craig 'Silirrion' Morrison going over the new paid points system, new player recruitment, Halloween, and other game developments.
Hello again, it’s that time when you get to listen to me explaining a little about our most recent efforts and what we have in store for you all. I enjoy doing these letters to the community and hope that you guys are enjoying reading them!
The New Paid Points System
Next week will see the release of the 17.6 Update that brings with it the new vehicles and the paid points system.
I am really pleased with how the team have made these items look and work, they really have pulled out all the stops in terms of pushing what’s possible with our game engine and giving you all some amazing new vehicles. We are all really looking forward to seeing how they are received. (The days before an update are always a nervous time for the dev team!)
The paid points will be available for purchase once the update hits the live dimensions and will be priced at 1$ / Euro per 100 points and will be available in multiples of 1000 points. When we go live with the update you’ll be able to get your hands on the points in 1000, 2000, and 3000 denomina

Funcom Gains $30m In New Funding
By: Brotherbird in defaultposted at 7:15 am Jun 27,2007 - 0
Funcom are best known for their PC products, particularly adventure games The Longest Journey/Dreamfall and massively multiplayer online (MMO) title Anarchy Online. The company attributes the generous amount of new funding to anticipation for the success of forthcoming MMO Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.
Conan is due for release on October 30th this year, with the new funding being primarily required for strengthening marketing and operational capacity prior to the launch. (The title is not to be confused with a Conan-related console action title currently in development by Nihilistic and THQ.)
At the same time, Funcom has also announced plans to enter the casual MMO market and has announced it is currently evaluating several possible expansion opportunities, which may include near term acquisitions.
“We’re expecting the launch of Age of Conan to create significant waves in the MMO gamespace,” said CEO Trond Arne Aas. “With the secured additiona

By: Brotherbird in defaultposted at 7:00 am Jun 27,2007 - 0
The first virtual items to kick off the program will be the introduction of jetbikes and hover boards, giving players the chance to cruise around Rubi-Ka in an all new fashion. In addition Funcom will offer previously released scout-mechs, luxury apartments, Leet pets and various sets of social clothing. By using points the players can also get access to previous and upcoming expansion and booster packs, as well as new services like changing in-game names or moving to another server.
The Funcom points can at first be purchased in 10 and 20 USD / EUR packages. As an example of the price a new jetbike starts as low as 3 dollars, while a complete set of bikes can be bought for about 10 dollars. Players who are paying subscribers of Anarchy Online will get a set of monthly points included in the subscription price, and longer pricing plans like 6 and 12 months gives extra points. As an added incentive Func
