I ended up on a forum flame war with someone about what really constitutes a free to play account. A lot of the games that advertise that their games are free to play are not really free to play. Below is a list of things that should not be in a real free to play game. If they have these features, then they should not really be free to play. Instead, it feels like they are trying to push players into the pay model of the game by placing heavy restrictions on free accounts. If this is the case, then a game really should not be free to play. It is almost like false advertising by not referring to it as a trial account of some sort.

Just weeks after the breach in Sony's PlayStation Network, a bunch of websites and game services have followed suit: Epic Games, Codemasters, Minecraft and BioWare.
