Just recently Drift City EU announced they were going to be shut down and relocate the service to Gamescampus and here's a message one of the board admins posted!



Do you seriously think I'mSYMPATHETIC about any of you guys and how you handled Drift City?

They had Wonderking and that got shut down! Good! Now Drift City is next as the players accounts will be transfered to the Gamescampus service.

To be fair, I've been in communities and had a bit in arguement with GMs and mods, sometimes I get it wrong and have to explain them to what really going on or why I should stay and we work it out.

Sometimes in the bottom of my heart, I hate those communities that run OUR MMOs and Bigpoint is one team that I hate from the bottom of my heart and I got no change from them for me to reconsider

 I don't know what to say about this but since the recent hidden update on the Drift City Europe Service. I do know that the Drift City client is growing and for the better however it has messed up my client for a bit.

 No big deal, it's just my laptop was terrible from the beginning. I have an Dell Inspion 1525 which had Vista pre-installed when bought in 2009 however it's was so terrible I downgraded to XP. (I kept the discs, I have windows 95, 98, Xp and Vista). I am a nerd and I can see Drift City isn't for nerds.   Anyways, I believe this recently update totally overloads my computer (it doesn't give me the BSOD or anything) to not show any graphics, here's the screen I get and it's give me a white screen. I thought I'll say that I know Drift City ]]> Dec 12, 2011 <![CDATA[Drift City: GT Championship with Cement Trucks!]]>
Click here to view video! Drift City, a cel shaded based MMO driving game features simple races for masses of players to take part in. Europe Drift City decided to play with the mechanics and to allow players to drive Cement Mixing Trucks. Cement Mixing trucks are seen all over Drift City as traffic however player had the chance to experience what it felt like taking charge of these trucks for a race. It's a shame that they're not cel-shaded to make them fit with the other accessible vehicles in the game. I think this is interesting because the staff were nice enough to give something very interesting (compared to some other freebies) for the community. There becomes a process where I play MMOs and they're interesting and they slowly become duds because players see thru them quicker or they don't seem to be fun anymore. This happens rarely thou.

However when something like this happens, it's usually difficult to defend them for whatever reason. usually because the publishers have plans themselves or they dont know how to run MMOs.

In the case of Drift City EU hosted by Seven Games, I'm having so much trouble understanding what they're actully doing that I'm totally bored out of my mind. I've explored every aspect of this MMO and if I were to complain about it, it would generate a whole entire list which you wouldn't want to read, so I narrowed it down to one major problem.
