What exactly is the big deal between CTF Blitz and just CTF???? The only big difference is that in CTF Blitz the flag moves around to a different place if you or one of your team mates capture it... The same goes if the enemy 'cap' your flag.

That kinda looks insignificant because you are playing in the same maps with the same classes and the same equipment but if you consider that in CTF the strategy is the same all the time and from all the sudden you need to adapt and move your defenses around and take a different approach if you want to capture the flag like a lightning bolt. You will notice that the whole mechanic of moving the flag around turns into a big deal!

Hey peeps, once again I am playing Tribes... This time I am checking out the new map and features added a few days ago in a friggin patch. I have to be very honest, this new CTF map "Tartarus" Is one hell of a map!!! If you ask me, Hi-rez just made the best map in the whole game lol!...

The new map is so perfect, it have everything I need to laugh and have some fun, Tons of hills all around the place for me to speed up and a nice reactor in the perfect place for me to enter quickly, throw some Fractal Grenades, DIE!!!!, and take a few enemy players with me.

Its kinda hard to explain how to pull the stunt in this map, so I just recorded a few of my moves for you peeps to see...

One last thing, The 'Brute' used to be my favorite class and now I like it even more.... I got a 7% damage

The ‘Brute’ is probably my favorite class in the whole ‘Tribes: Ascend’ world, its full of powerful weapons, powerful gadgets, strong armor, a very high health pool and is probably one of the best tools if you want to bash someone else’s reactor.

My style is very simple and straight forward, get into the enemy base and waste the crap of that place (destroy the reactor and structures). That is what I do with the Brute, IT OWNS!!!!! When you fight in close quarters, the ‘Heavy Spinfusor’ does a lot of damage and the shotgun doesn’t forgive anyone when a noobtard tries to rush you in the face.

Outside, the best thing you can do is turn into a structure killing machine, I know that it sounds kinda crazy to destroy those things but that is pretty much your only choice because the Brute have one

Hi-rez games announced on their blog, that today is the day that they're popular free-to-play shooter Tribes: Ascend will officially launch. Yep, no more beta phases to go through, but that shouldn't stop you from bug reporting when you find something amiss. The game is self claimed as the "world's fasted shooter" and features jet packs, skiing, vehicles, and team based gameplay all centered around the Unreal 3 engine.

The release build of the game features 9 playable classes, 5 game-modes for you to try out, and a staggering 16 unique maps. I say staggering, because if you've played any free-to-play shooter, you know most only come with maybe 6 or so maps. So usually there isn't much variety, but this one decided to do different and pass the standard by

For those of you who were fans of the original Tribes game, Tribes ascend plays a lot like the original Tribes but has the added bonus of being free to play. There are jet packs which still allow you to fly and now you can "Ski" across any surface if you hold down a key, but this is affected by slopes. Currently the game has capture the flag and rabbit game types with 3 maps in CTF so far and yes it is still a first person shooter, except with jetpacks and fast paced movement. Jet packs and skiing really make Tribes different from a normal FPS. While skiing, you move pretty fast so if you can get a good distance between yourself and someone who isn't skiing, they won't be able to catch or kill you. The jetpack that everyone gets also make
